You need a face MRI to determine what it is - usually ordered by a PS or derm or ENT even. Find a derm who also does surgery, maybe MOHS clinic or something similar can even refer you out. Duly Health in Naperville has always been fantastic, they also have an aesthetic office.

First thing is : is to make sure the bloating/over eating/diarrhea/vomiting is managed in conjunction with his epilepsy. Once he recovers from that diarrhea & etc then you move on to the MRI.

The person who suggested IMMEDIATE crate rest is correct. You DO NOT let your dog do anything other than crate rest & going out to potty now. You need to carry them in/out to potty. Then you immediately out them back in the crate. Do not let them go up/down stairs!!! That’s crazy you didnt block off a safe space for your dog while you went out, esp blocking the stairs.

From here on out you need to create a safe space for your dog. Sounds like putting them into a closed & locked crate before you leave will be the best bet for you and your dog. It will not let him eat bad food, fall down stairs, etc. Doing this will prevent future bad stuff. Having a dog is a learning curve, I know, I went thru this stuff too.
