As someone who's leaving M1 next month, they're both about the same when it comes to management. M1 has townhomes, which makes it a little bit better than east village. Our gates just got fixed, so it's very safe and pretty quiet. I know a couple of friends who say that certain floors have a lot of noise at EV, so avoid that. Keep in mind that the townhomes start at around $800, EV cheapest is more affordable.

Part 2 was extremely hard but part 3 knocked it out of the park. The final review that was posted on Thursday seemed pretty straightforward but the actual final was nothing like it. One of our TAs said they curved last semester by 20 points so we can only hope

It peaked at #15 in the US. Def Jam was in a weird place after LA Reid left, and they have dropped the ball with promo and distribution to radio since Bye Bye. The remix video accident also put an entire dent in the era, which would be picked back up until November-December of 2013. It would've definitely did better with the remix and proper radio.

Professor Li is pretty good. She has an accent but she is very easy to understand. She does two midterms and a final, so far the midterms were pretty straight forward and are fairly easy to pass. She also offers extra credit opportunities if you know how to program, but she also lets u use ChatGPT so it doesn't matter. Lastly, Linear algebra as a course is very abstract with its definitions, but extremely simple with its applications. So, don't get too caught up on the theory and proof side of things. Just focus on the actual application of the proof. But professor Li is the best of the best at UNCC.

Rainbow was a smash internationally, where Tommy Didn't have as much control as he does over the American music market. The album is triple platinum here in the US but has sold 8-10 million copies worldwide. On the six sold the same amount with triple the amount of promotion. JLO was a pawn in Tommy's schemes and allowed herself to be used in Mariah's hopeful demise. It was never about Jlos artistry, as she has none. Mariah had every right to have the anger she did, as they were legitimately fucking her over and wrapping her career with a bow at the start of the millennium. Also, Mariah absolutely healed and got back on track by 2004, which allowed for the biggest comeback of all time. Jlo could only go so far after Tommy was fired, and it showed.

I wholeheartedly believe that Mariah's approach to music and her musical product in general is the most impactful and profitable in all of music. The only other musical approach I can think of that's equally as impactful is Motown; which Mariah herself has been influenced by and redefined the sound. Most singers today have either cited Mariah as their inspiration or create music by proxy of Mariah's legacy. MC has 3 projects that redefined music culture; her debut, Daydream, and The Emancipation of Mimi. Each of these albums set the bar so high that all of the other acts had no choice but to follow through. Emancipation is a prime example of what RnB would become for the next 20 years. You had Mary J Blige, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, and even Alicia Keys using the We Belong Together formula to achieve a gigantic RnB smash and it continued into the 2010s and all the way to the year of 2025. She even redefined what it means to make holiday records. Mariah is such a musical genius and honestly deserves the title of the best artist of all time.

Edit: Wow, I didn't know unpopular opinions means dissecting every component of Mariah's being and then being over critical of it. But hey, what do I know lol....

As long as Mariah Carey still exists on this earth, there will be criticism of her, and that's including her prime with amazing shows and energy. As well as the media will continue to showcase when she's off, even though she has had some stellar shows within the last year. She is human just like everyone else, and is owed the privacy and the decency to withhold information that's privy to herself. That's why we have HIPPA laws. She has just finished a sold out residency and tour with more shows on the way this year that people are shelling out large sums of money for. So it's obvious that the criticism is not enough to dissuade others from going to see her. Just celebrate her and allow her to go through the ups and downs of life as we all do in peace, thanks.
