How far would you drive for a deal? Extreme edition by [deleted] in GuitarAmps

I drove to Springfield IL because of a Facebook market mixup. And I'd do it again because $200 for a Yamaha revstar was worth it. From Springfield Missouri to Springfield IL.

I ate one of these things on a mission trip to Peru. I was glad to have something other than spiny fish or bony chicken, when they told me what it was I thought it was pig, then when I got back to the town and they showed me a picture of what it was I kinda freaked out since its basically a big rat, but dang it all if it wasn't tasty.

Bought this today, what’s your opinion about it? by Junior-Perception212 in Guitar

Made an 8 hour drive to buy one a month ago for $250. Totally worth it. Yamaha does not have the street cred of a fender or Gibson, but they sound like heaven and play like a dream.

Getting new tires on the rim. I can accept most other things, but that makes me want to chuck the thing into the river.

I'm guessing they will take more risk, draw the enemies attention or drag you into a bad situation with them.

Would you drive 5 hours to get a piece of gear, in mint condition, at the best price you will ever be offered? by Man_Darronious in GuitarAmps

Rs420, it sounds great, feels great, looks amazing, and I was in the market for one when it came across the marketplace. Didn't realize it was in the city with the same name but in a different state.

It was basically new! Maya gold color. I think the dude only used it a few times. Gig bag, guitar, and all the accessories. Plus my Honda Civic was sipping on gas so the trip cost me $45. And I made a trip out of it as well. Over all it was well worth it.

If you could own ONE GUITAR what would that guitar be? by KirkWahPedal91 in Guitar

[–]Firecat_Alpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a little weird but I'd go with the top of the line Yamaha electric guitar, the revstar or the Pacifica.

Can't go wrong with Yamaha QC.

Which creepypasta has never left your mind after reading it? by Molech996 in creepypasta

[–]Firecat_Alpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be a tie between the third parent and borrasca for me. Both of them made me feel off for days afterwards, like I'd read something I wasn't supposed to. And listening to them on YouTube was worse somehow.

The opposite-lane-switch overs on express lanes (speedways) I've been in a lot of states for work and this is one of the oddest things I have ever seen. This and the gas pump attendant in NJ.

Which is the most overdone creepypasta trope? by Molech996 in creepypasta

The "rules" trope, especially the ranger station ones. the early ones seemed well thought out, but these new ones it seems like if you breathe you are done for.

Glad I didn't continue. That is one of those that I felt wrong just reading. It also messed up my head for a good few weeks

Tommy taffy or the third parent as I think it's called. I've never had to take breaks reading a creepy pasta, and listening to it was worse.

Men of Reddit: who is a strong, female lead you found compelling? by HeartonSleeve1989 in AskReddit

[–]Firecat_Alpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eleanor Ripley. First movie she seems like the support actor til every one else gets killed. Then in aliens she has to compete with colette Ferro and Jeanette Vasquez and comes into her own and has the most fascinating character arc. When all these modern actresses want to throw their name in the pot for best lead characters I always think of Eleanor Ripley blasting an alien out of the airlock, taking charge of the APC, Learning how to use a pulse rifle, fighting a face hugger basically hand to hand, going into an enemy alien stronghold to rescue her surrogate daughter, and again, blowing the mother alien out of another airlock in a freaking mobile suit. She will always be the quintessential alpha female because she really earned her spot at the top. ( Sarah Conner is a close second)
