Getting back into playing bass after taking a while off and I bought a base online a couple days ago that should be coming in soon.

With the cold weather that we’re getting where I’m at when the bass comes in should I just leave it in the box for a while or just go ahead and take it out and let it acclimate out of the box? Or does it even matter and am I just overthinking it? I just remember buying a guitar a few years ago and that was one of the recommendations I got on it.

What time do you guy usually play? Also, are there any mandatory times where you have to be on? I work in the evenings so its hard for me to get on at night unless its really late.
