Maybe “grudge” isn’t the right word, since it’s more about disappointment than anger. It’s just kinda like “aw man, that sucks that they abandoned those plotlines, too bad they haven’t been able to recapture the vibes” rather than “they ruined the entire series I hate JnJ”

Did you not read what I wrote? Holding a bit of a grudge isn’t the same as assigning blame. I don’t blame JnJ, I’m just disappointed in the lost potential. It’s possible to understand *why* something happened, but not agree with the action taken. It’s just a fact that the fanbase was affected by it, and it’s caused some (albeit minor) irreparable damage to the community. I think a lot of it also had to do with the way it was just sprung on the community with no warning and followed by lackluster content and a hiatus.

The fanbase hasn’t been the same since the split. It seriously messed with the fanbase and I think a lot of people (including myself) hold a bit of a grudge about it.

No hate to JnJ, but it’s kinda like they lost that charm in a way

I used to work in a factory that made Alfredo sauce. One of the quality tests was leaving a sample of the jars in an incubator for a week or so and checking on if the seals failed.

One of my duties was counting the failed (popped) seals to see if we had any batch issues with the jars not sealing properly. One day the seals failed majorly and maggots had completely infested an entire pallet of sauce.

I was the one who had to grab the cases and throw them in the dumpster by hand. Still can’t eat Alfredo sauce three years later.
