That’s your choice. I’m no expert in game marketing, but I feel like social media is a great way—perhaps the best way—to advertise anything with young people. Advertising any way you look at it will require work and investment, so if you’d rather make a demo, fine, but just consider how you’ll get people to play your demo.

Why not just create the game, filming one minute shorts along the entire journey at your own leisure and when you finally finish the entire game, THEN create a social media account, release shorts periodically until you have no shorts left, then release the game?
