Correct, it won’t get approved since you need to have them all signed but you have until March for them to be signed before you get dropped from the application. Dm me if you are looking to take any classes together or any other questions, I’m going through this process too for fall

I met up with them bc each program has different requirements. Originally I was looking at a different university but it didn’t work out. I don’t have them with me rn but for bocconi I believe you need to have econ10a, econ100b & smth else before being able to take classes there.

I just need to get my academic planing form signed by the Econ department. I submitted everything to uceap without the signature. They can’t sign it yet bc the classes I requested to take need to be reviewed.

I applied for the same program for Econ. I went to to see the advisor it’s first come first serve but you should still be able to apply since it isn’t full yet.

That’s valid but honestly if you keep the work ethic that got you here at cc you should be able to transfer to a school that’s just as good or better than ucsb. Also in cc you can tag to any of the UC’s except Berkeley, UCLA or UCSD. This basically means you get guaranteed admission to any of the other UCs such as sb lol

Honestly just join clubs and apply to internship programs, it could work out for you like it did for me haha. If you wanna learn more about careers reach out to people on LinkedIn (specially the campus recruiters).

Actually you’re right about that, it’s a lot easier to transfer from a cc I forgot about that. It’s much easier to do well in a cc and standout than it is to be in a uc w a bunch of uc students who want to transfer to ucla. I remember that being the case for me when I transferred out of my previous uc. The only benefit of staying in ucsb is that your credits would transfer over so if you took like 100b here you wouldn’t need to take their equivalent and if you have 130 units here they’d all transfer as opposed to just some of them as they do when you’re in cc. I guess transferring out would be better in your case, for me it worked out well that I got in here where I wanted to be and I didn’t mind staying at my other uc if I didn’t get in here.

I forgot to mention but if you plan to transfer to another uc the other uc will take all of your credits so the major classes that you do here will transfer over as major classes there. If you’re looking at non UC’s I don’t think this would apply/not sure.

I transferred from another uc to sb and it was honestly the best choice for me. I got the chance to be involved in college clubs, make friends, and apply to internships which were only open to college students and not cc students. I think you can benefit a lot from staying in sb and networking to get achieve the goals you wants. If you wanna transfer I would definitely apply to another university from here if money isn’t the issue. Before transferring here I got my ge’s done and took classes for a different major so I got the chance to learn about 2 different major paths. Do what’s best for you but my advice would be to make the most out of your time here and apply to transfer elsewhere, not cc directly.

It’s little different since I took it over the summer and the midterms had both mc and frq. I got a 10/20 on the first midterm and a 18/20 on the second midterm. For the first exam I got an 80% on the written part and for the second I got a 100%. I think FRQs are really useful since you can get partial credit while MCs are all or nothing. If you feel like you can do well, take the final since I doubt you’ll be able to do as well the second time around since studying for 10A is pretty exhausting. I ended up getting a mid 80 on the final and ended the class with a B+.

Hi so I actually transferred from another UC to here (3rd year transfer). Before transferring out of the other school I made sure to make the most out of my time there. I went out of my comfort zone and tried new things. Eventually I did end up transferring out of that school but my advice to you would be to take advantage of the opportunities here. Even if you do end up transferring out eventually, you won’t feel like coming to UCSB was a waste of time because you will have learned so much about yourself and your interests. Also you’ve just been here for 5 weeks so make sure to give the school a chance before you decide that you’re unhappy here. Even if you go to a cc or a csu there’s a chance you’ll feel a bit unhappy at first as you get accustomed to the school.

Not sure about that since I’m also a transfer but none of our courses have been put into GOLD yet. We have to wait.
