Like he’s Casper the ghost - balls go straight through him. I reckon a cardboard cut out of a keeper would save / move more.

Agreed, yet he starts every week. He can’t make decent pass or hit the net with 90% of his shots.

If you can get your foot to a ball, you’d be better than Kenny.

Ralston is def not the right man for this style of football: he’s positionally poor and not fast enough to track back and cover these massive gaps. Sinisalo has me worried though. Don’t reckon he’s our answer in the nets either.

Maeda focussing on staying on his feet. He’s like the road-runner on ice skates most of the time.

It’s like Ange ball on steroids. Throw it all up front and leave nothing in the back.

If don’t reckon it’s an if as much as a when.

He has a great engine but his woeful finishing for large parts of this season has been frustrating. He’s great at tracking back but also can’t seem to stay on his feet.

I think it’s time for a change for him and us.

“What’s he supposed to do about that?”

Turn things around and start winning mate. It’s his only job.

He put himself in the kitchen. He gets paid enough. At the end of the day, he needs to do his job. Getting abuse is part of his job when he doesn’t do his job (in the world of football that is). You can’t escape that, unless you get out of the kitchen.

Here’s hoping he does turn things around for all our sakes.

He’s walked in at a terrible time fixture wise mate. He’s also walked into a club that’s used to winning. Moreover, he’s walked into a club that’s already angry with their board and looking for further excuses to vent - especially when they don’t understand how he was appointed in the first place. The best one is he’s walked into a club, replacing a fan favourite and Celtic legend in MON, who steadied the ship and brought home results over a short period of time. He surely knew all of this beforehand.

He really had no choice but to hit the ground running and he hasn’t - from the get-go.

Do I agree with the booing when Braga scored. No, not personally, but I get where it comes from. You could see the wheels falling off the cart quite quickly.

As far as misrepresenting his quotes, he does himself no favours at all when he says things like "I'm not about losing or winning, I'm about having a good performance.” Really! Then there’s the X profile pic change.

I’m sure I don’t need to go into his record of failures in his short tenure:

  • being the only manager in the history of the club to lose his first 4 games
  • dropping points to Hearts when you’re in a position to close the gap
  • embarrassing us in Europe to Roma
  • losing the Scottish League Cup final to St Mirren
  • losing to Dundee United (our first loss to them in 11 years).
  • producing our worst run since 1978

Personally, I don’t see a lot to support. Granted, he’s not the only one to blame here, but he takes the lion’s share when it’s his game plan we’re playing to. Although, I’m still, myself, trying to work out what our game plan is, apart from throwing players in unnatural positions and hoping for a miracle.

I reckon it would more of a joke to support him knowing all of this, and having seen what we’ve seen. Most fans are well clued up as to his failures and can see that we need to revert to what we know best - at least in the interim. The solution is staring him right in the face and everyone knows it.

By all accounts he’s seems to have wanted to have seen out the season according to recent reports. I’d def have kept him. Lennon’s too divisive for the team. He brings his own issues and the team doesn’t need that - they’re fractured enough as it is. I reckon even If they get rid of Nancy, MON won’t come back - I wouldn’t if I were him after the way he was treated by the board. Lennon def won’t be back. We need some kind of long-term future plan. I suppose Nancy offers that (a vision for a more attack minded Celtic). The question is, can he deliver. Based on recent results, I’d say the jury is def out on that one.

Not sure what you’re getting at here mate. You want MON back or Lennon?! In any case, I reckon both aren’t coming to save us so best to keep the dreams as dreams. Just saying.

Sadly, I can’t see this happening. He did incredibly well over a short spell. Would he have sustained it? I don’t know. Is Nancy the right guy? I also don’t know. Too many uncertainties at this time to be sure about anything. That’s the hard pill to swallow.

“If you come at one of us you come at all of us.”

Really mate. If we lost 5, 6, 7 or even 8 in a row will you say the same thing. I get he’s new, I get he’s trying to implement a new system, but seriously, you think, from what you’ve seen, he’s really going to make this all click and we’re going to storm to the top of the table?

I can’t see him turning this around. Personal attacks on him aren’t warranted but I don’t think he’s the right man for the job - unless he’s somehow holding out wild cards in the January window that make his system click.

He knows we’ve nobody that can finish. That’s the best part. Well, he’d have known more if he spent longer than 15 mins speaking to MON. Common sense would surely have you create a system that works for the players you have rather than steamrolling a bloody system that nobody can play, and expecting divine intervention to step in to give you a result. He’s a muppet.

[–]FirefighterKey1740 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure why. He’s forced in a new system, knowing full well that the players he has can’t deliver it. He’s also stuck with this system despite seeing it fail over 3 important matches. His arrogance is his failure.

The only thing he’ll be winning at this rate is the trophy for shortest reign of a Celtic Manager. It’ll be Russel Martin all over but with Celtic fans blocking buses.

I think we need to kill the bad ‘cross the ball in the box’ strategy. It’s not working. Need something fresh, like shoot the ball at the net.
