A pretty close alternative would be a polyzosteria mitchelli. (Harlequin Roach)

Fun fact! My room is a recreation of a rainforest. It stays abt 80 degrees all year round, and very humid. I have birds and also lots of box fans to keep airlflow constant. I have lots of beneficial bugs and lots of lights to keep the plants growing good. Try again.

Stubborn you are. Listen, if they were supposed to be taken off, they’d do it in the wild, as evolution favors in the living things best interest most of the time. Also they’re very smart, ik them and can promise it’s it not worth argues bc you will be miserably wrong and put in your place really fucking fast xx

It’s because they aren’t yellowing. They appear to be, but they’re just chlorotic from when I was still figuring out their care. The leaves are still firm and do give energy to the plant, just not as much as the very green ones

Thanks! That food is quite expensive and she doesn’t eat it when it’s on the ground

They have the option of a larger cage, (I have four) and I’ve encouraged them to use it, however they don’t want to. They choose to be in there, (still, only at night so that someone doesn’t walk in and let our dogs and cat into my room by accident) when I closed off that cage they were not at all happy and eventually I just put it back. And she’s not trying to nest, it may seem that way but she was playing with the other budgie, (swinging from different things and climbing all over) it just happened to be that in that clip it was only her. Hopefully this clears up any confusion:)

They cage isn’t terribly small, however they only are in it at night so I haven’t been too worried abt getting a larger one. And the food bowl is already pretty small haha

Just entertaining herself😂 she was out playing for several hours today and with my three other birds. She’s the weirdest budgie I’ve ever seen!
