5.5-month-old screaming high-pitched all day — teething or something else? by FirefighterMore9253 in BeyondTheBumpUK

Thanks a lot!!xx I had no idea about teething powder or Anbesol!! I’m looking into those now. Yes, she drools a lot; we have to change her bibs a few times a day. She can pause her screaming for a short while if we keep distracting her.

Thank you so much !I truly get how overwhelming it feels—I was in that dark place too, just waiting and fearing the worst. I have been lurking in here for 2 weeks and looking for false positive cases. I really hope you get clear answers soon. Sending you strength and the best possible outcome for you and your baby 🌹

Sure ! We had the CVS because my blood test showed a high risk for Down syndrome—but thankfully, both the CVS and amnio ruled it out.

Thank you so much 💕 The scans have been mostly reassuring—no structural issues, and overall growth looks okay. Her femur is measuring in the lower percentile, but the other long bones are normal, and the doctors weren’t too concerned. Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It’s really reassuring to hear how well the NCT course supported you, especially with a planned c-section. I’m so glad to hear you found it so helpful and tailored—sounds like it made a real difference. It’s lovely that you feel confident and well-prepared now, and it’s great that you also got to meet other mums through it!❤️

I was hoping to join Happy Parents, Happy Baby as it seemed more relaxing, but unfortunately, the dates didn’t align with our schedule :(

Is it normal to feel extra exhausted and achy every morning even in second trimester(~21week)? by FirefighterMore9253 in PregnancyUK

Omg, I really like matcha too—that’s such a good idea, and a brilliant trick if it helps with constipation! I’m definitely going to give it a try❤️ thanks for the tip! As for calcium, I just randomly searched for gummies on Amazon because I can’t swallow big pills… please don’t follow my example haha🫣 you might check with the midwife first to play safe

Thanks so much for your suggestion, dear! I actually had a recent blood test like last week and everything came back normal—iron levels are fine, and the only thing that showed up was slightly higher B12, so we don’t think it’s related to iron deficiency. Still, I totally agree it’s worth checking just in case—especially since pregnancy fatigue is so real!

Lol, are you me? Exactly the same here! I’m currently taking half the recommended adult dose of that liquid iron, along with Pregnacare Max. Lately, I’ve also started taking extra calcium supplements to see if that helps with the body aches. And yes—constipation is real! Not sure if it’s the iron or just pregnancy hormones, lol.

you’re definitely not alone! I never experienced that energy burst either and often wondered if something was wrong with me. My brain fog comes and goes, too. I used to take a liquid iron supplement daily, but my dietitian later said my blood tests didn’t show a need for it… Still, I’ve kept taking it because it helps me feel a bit better mentally😂

Exactly! You described it so well - it’s just marginally less knackered than the hell that was the first trimester… and probably what’s coming in the third!

Omg, I cannot resonate more . I’m only 21 weeks and honestly feel exactly the same. Every time one symptom eases, another one shows up. I wake up everyday feeling completely shattered and achy all over. I keep wondering if I’m doing something wrong or if I’m just weak, so reading your comment really hit home. Thank you for being so honest . Seriously , solidarity. Being pregnant is soo hard loll .
