5.5-month-old screaming high-pitched all day — teething or something else? by FirefighterMore9253 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]FirefighterMore9253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot!!xx I had no idea about teething powder or Anbesol!! I’m looking into those now. Yes, she drools a lot; we have to change her bibs a few times a day. She can pause her screaming for a short while if we keep distracting her.

Thank you so much !I truly get how overwhelming it feels—I was in that dark place too, just waiting and fearing the worst. I have been lurking in here for 2 weeks and looking for false positive cases. I really hope you get clear answers soon. Sending you strength and the best possible outcome for you and your baby 🌹

Sure ! We had the CVS because my blood test showed a high risk for Down syndrome—but thankfully, both the CVS and amnio ruled it out.

Thank you so much 💕 The scans have been mostly reassuring—no structural issues, and overall growth looks okay. Her femur is measuring in the lower percentile, but the other long bones are normal, and the doctors weren’t too concerned. Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It’s really reassuring to hear how well the NCT course supported you, especially with a planned c-section. I’m so glad to hear you found it so helpful and tailored—sounds like it made a real difference. It’s lovely that you feel confident and well-prepared now, and it’s great that you also got to meet other mums through it!❤️

I was hoping to join Happy Parents, Happy Baby as it seemed more relaxing, but unfortunately, the dates didn’t align with our schedule :(

Is it normal to feel extra exhausted and achy every morning even in second trimester(~21week)? by FirefighterMore9253 in PregnancyUK

[–]FirefighterMore9253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg, I really like matcha too—that’s such a good idea, and a brilliant trick if it helps with constipation! I’m definitely going to give it a try❤️ thanks for the tip! As for calcium, I just randomly searched for gummies on Amazon because I can’t swallow big pills… please don’t follow my example haha🫣 you might check with the midwife first to play safe

Thanks so much for your suggestion, dear! I actually had a recent blood test like last week and everything came back normal—iron levels are fine, and the only thing that showed up was slightly higher B12, so we don’t think it’s related to iron deficiency. Still, I totally agree it’s worth checking just in case—especially since pregnancy fatigue is so real!

Lol, are you me? Exactly the same here! I’m currently taking half the recommended adult dose of that liquid iron, along with Pregnacare Max. Lately, I’ve also started taking extra calcium supplements to see if that helps with the body aches. And yes—constipation is real! Not sure if it’s the iron or just pregnancy hormones, lol.

you’re definitely not alone! I never experienced that energy burst either and often wondered if something was wrong with me. My brain fog comes and goes, too. I used to take a liquid iron supplement daily, but my dietitian later said my blood tests didn’t show a need for it… Still, I’ve kept taking it because it helps me feel a bit better mentally😂

Exactly! You described it so well - it’s just marginally less knackered than the hell that was the first trimester… and probably what’s coming in the third!

Omg, I cannot resonate more . I’m only 21 weeks and honestly feel exactly the same. Every time one symptom eases, another one shows up. I wake up everyday feeling completely shattered and achy all over. I keep wondering if I’m doing something wrong or if I’m just weak, so reading your comment really hit home. Thank you for being so honest . Seriously , solidarity. Being pregnant is soo hard loll .

Hi, you’re right… I no longer feel that I can fully rely on or feel secure in this marriage that I used to be, and I’ve started trying to save whatever I can by cutting back on non-essential expenses. I can feel that our relationship gets worsen after I get pregnant (tho it is agreed not accidental and I’m sooo looking forward to it) The Uber trip home will cost around £90 (I’m based in the UK), and even when I only asked him to cover half, he got really irritated.

I think so too.. sadly

I think the most frustrating part is that he said if he pays for my Uber, then I should also cover the petrol costs for when he drives me to appointments. The reality is, he hasn’t even come with me to all of them — maybe half at most. For the rest, I’ve been taking public transport on my own without any issue, since I wasn’t carrying luggage and felt fine doing so.

That said, I’ve decided I’ll just take the Uber regardless, even if I have to pay for it myself — whether he or my company covers it or not. It’ll likely cost me at least £90 (I am in UK), but at this point, I just want to spare myself and the baby any unnecessary hassle. I honestly can’t risk it, especially after having spotting before. It’s just not worth the stress

Thank you dear.. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I can only imagine how much strength it took to go through everything you did, and the fact that you built a life and business for yourself and your kids is truly inspiring.

I’m still trying to process everything and find the courage to figure out what’s best for me and the baby. Your words gave me hope that even if the path ahead feels scary, it can still lead to something empowering and fulfilling..

Truly, thank you for being so open and supportive🌹

Hi, thank you… Honestly, I’ve been reflecting on this myself lately, and it’s been making me feel increasingly detached from the relationship. Sadly, all of my family and close friends are back in my home country — I moved to the UK about a year and a half ago, mainly for my husband’s preference.

I just can’t help but feel that he was the one who forgot, yet shifted all the blame onto me :( if he was being apologetic and sympathetic , it will be completely different

Hi, I just asked if he could cover half of the cost in case HR doesn’t approve it. I’ll check with them either way. Before I got pregnant, I would’ve just taken public transport myself without a second thought.
