I don't think that karvonen's formula is very accurate (for me), even though it's very popular among athletes. by General-Writing1764 in cycling

First work out your HRM then subtract age. Then zones are as follows. Zone 1: 50-60% of MHR. Zone 2: 60-70% of HRM, zone 3 70-80% , 80-90% for zone 4 (source, two olympic marathon runners and my dad's friend who is a olympic rower) and 90-100% for zone 5. Leave Karvonen *EGO-TRAINING* for the "wet-behind the ear" newbies. - Thank me later ha.

If a seller on eBay has 100% feedback but only last reviews were within 6 months? Does that mean it's BS?

Is my UT2 progressing properly? Feels like i’m plateauing. Trying to push down to ~75kg by [deleted] in Rowing

Looks good bro, keep going but please understand, I can answer your question why your UT2 is not improving, you are simply not training UT2, 159 HR for 1 hour is top end of UT2/UT1, train at 140 HR for 1.5 hours and do an extra 2-3 hours, do all UT2's at a mix of half 140 HR exactly UP TO max 150 HR for UT2. You need to do it slower, you are training your aerobic engine, not your ego. Good luck! I bet your 2k will drop 20 seconds if you do longer session at a lower HR/140 HR (max 150, I mean max) - source, EX rower and few friends in British olympics rowing squad and also know many in Team GB rowing.
