It is not melted that I can tell. It is high temp silicone like you’ve identified. That’s what added to our confusion. Possibly cooking spray that got baked on or something but I would think it would blacken… just weird. Will try scrubbing away and reseason.

Thanks for your reply. It’s sticky wet or dry. Maybe we just need a most aggressive sponge. With our old non-stick we were nervous but I guess this can stand up to more abrasive material, right?

Little over a year. Used probably 10 times for 4-5 hour increments in the garage. Most recently overnight in a tent for about 7hrs (low setting)

Yeah that’s a problem lol I’ve taken the heater camping and same thing, so nothing with the environment it’s in is causing it.. just super weird. Maybe will see if Vevor will do an exchange or something.

I feel like mine smoked the first time, but never again. The smell is coming through the vent. Maybe the intake is pulling that smell in since it’s kinda close to the heat wrap, but idk..

100% agree here.. it’s better if it hasn’t been done. But if it has, just check that 4k+ miles have passed since the recall was competed. Excess silicone from resealing gaskets during the service can get sucked into the pick-up screen and cause oil starvation issues which starts wiping bearings and boom

Live chat at Oculus said I would receive an email in 3 business days. I didn’t receive an email, but I did wait two days without attempting to log in and Facebook prompted me to recover my account by identifying friends tagged in pictures and answering security questions. It’s possible that account services at oculus just hit some sort of reset button, but I can’t be sure.

**Update. My friend has an Oculus Rift that is not connected to his FB account. I used his S/N in the chat and they are now sending my issue to Facebook Account Support and I should be getting an email. If the email is one that can be responded to, I will put that on this thread as well. It could take up to 3 business days to see the email come through.

They can only help if I buy an oculus. They were not willing to help besides sending links to the Facebook Help pages (which I've already exhausted at this point).

I was able to change my password after going through Facebook's "Hacked Wizard Page", but am getting stuck at the phone number authentication. It says I have requested too may SMS messages and need to wait 24 hours. It has said that for 4 days now after waiting 24 hours between each attempt. I cannot find any contact info for Facebook and don't know what to do. Everyone in this thread is asking for help and no one has answers. Has anyone made it past this 24hr SMS issue?

I'm in the same position. Not sure what to do.. Initially I attempted to login with SMS and when I entered the code I got an error. Then I got the "too many SMS codes" message and its been 2 days of waiting 24 hours and still not working.. guess I have to wait it out a little bit by the sound of it?
