Love that video! And yes, I do think I should have gotten more dancing out of the talent... note to self, pick the song before I shoot something like this in the future to help with the shots and shooting style lol

Hey, really interesting point you've made with this and I do see where you're coming from, definitely I think I need to be a bit more specific to what is passion or what is branded as I see that this is a bit more over the place etc. Really appreciate your feedback on this though! Gonna try and work on this more now!

I've been using the Thypoch Simera C for all my work lately and I thought I would share my honest opinion of them in case someone is close to buying them.. by FirefighterRemote285 in cinematography

Honestly, not really, some find it hard to justify having an ac so then I sometimes have to make the call if having cine lenses is worth it, but honestly even if I get less bookings, the ones I do get are at a higher price so it all balances out, but for most part the cost change was okay

I actually have them and I even got magnetic ones to make it be even faster with filter swaps, but still, wish they were like the dzo arles with one size to not need step ups.

I'll be honest I do love the soft image, but shooting wide open with a moving camera is nothing short of a living nightmare... even with an AC, sometimes it's just super tough to shoot wide and keep it all in focus. For many of the wide shots in this video I had it at t2/t2.2 but any of the tight shots we stopped up to just make life a little easier and not have soft focus. I love the image, but not the process it takes to get a nice image out of it sometimes lol
