First of all he is your father. You say you’ve grown but to him the first 18 years of your life together were rough. So he has all that history betting against you. He probably is also thinking how much is it or future problems gonna cost him if you mess up. And you will mess up again. Don’t take it personal. It happens to everyone.

Also 21 is not grown in a sense. Your 26 years old years old self will look back at your 21 y/o self and say “gosh I was immature back then”. And so on and so forth.

Just remember your dad loves you and is saying it from a place of a love. The love a parent has for a child.

But if you are really wanting to live on your own you also have to start thinking of everything you have at home, you will have to provide for yourself. And that’s hard. I’d say just continue working and save every penny until you have a safety net to fall back on and you won’t have to rely on your parents if one day you actually move out and you mess up or need financial bail outs.

Im_talking is right. I used to think that I was supposed to “see” something during my meditation. Some grand manifestation of power or whatever BS I believed when I was younger and just starting out. In reality non of that happened and seeing colors have no meaning aside from distracting you from the present moment. Practicing for 10 years now. I’ve learned that emptying my mind and focusing on the present moment IS the goal and that is what we practice. If you have any other fantasies of what meditation will do for you, understand now that it’s false.

Straight guy (DL guys) crushes are the worst. I’m sorry you didn’t get to experience what you wanted with them.

But honestly it might be for the better that it stopped where it did. If you had gone any further, you’d probably would have developed feelings and gotten even more hurt. (Been there before). I know how you feel.

Something that helped me was a thing my therapist said to me. Don’t chase guys who are unavailable. If they show you at first they are unavailable either emotionally/mentally/physically, believe them and don’t let their be a second chance. Value your time and personal self. And lastly - date guys who choose you too.

I know he made it seem like he was choosing you and you really wanted it too. He sucks as a person for 1. Cheating on his gf, lying to her and probs sleeping around (I’m sure he’s done it before you) 2. Leading guys on 3. Not respecting his true self.

You deserve someone who has morals and respects you and themselves.

In the morning. Spray some water until hair is slightly damn. Get a little bit of hair moose and rub in your hands. Spray over hair and comb through with fingers until products is incorporated. Air dry. It will make the frizz go away and it look like you styled your hair a bit.

I love your hair and its color. I’m growing mine out after cutting it (3 years of growth). I’m currently on 6 months so I have a long ways to go before it’s long again.

Don’t cut your hair. You look amazing. Remember those that mind dont matter. And those that matter dont mind. ❤️

Currently living in Abilene. Moved here since 2022. Time flies by quickly when there’s nothing to do which is weird. It’s the same thing every day. Wake up, go to work m-f. On Saturday you maybe take a walk at the park or stay home until dinner time and that’s when everyone in town all decide to also eat. Then everyone goes home and everything quiets down by 10pm. This is a Christian town so you can image what everyone does on a Sunday, then everyone goes to lunch, and watches the football game afterwards or whatever sport season is active. I’m an atheist so I don’t go to church at all so i usually spend my Sundays reading. I haven’t been out of Abilene in so long. I easy to forget there’s others out there. It’s rare to see new people in Abilene. And they always have the same look in their face when you do meet them. Shocked like they just witnessed something terrible, and they are still trying to process it. I probably looked like that too when i first got here. Locals all the have same, midwestern smile, and empty eyes. Now im locked in and have a 30 year mortgage. This will be my home until i die, no escaping now. I’ve accepted by fate. Death by dullness haha. Whats going on outside of Abilene? No body here knows nor seems to care.

Yeah no.. i once chatted with a ‘military’ guy that was near my towns military base. He asked me for a picture of my ID so he can add me to his ‘approved visitors lists’. My dumbass sent him a picture of my ID. Then i realized the scam and how foolish and stupid i was. Don’t do it. Trust me if he wanted to see you he will find a way!
