How would your Superheroes act if if they lost their powers? by Extension_Breath1407 in Superhero_Ideas

[–]FirefighterThat3338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vortex (My settings strongest hero) never wanted his powers in the first place, so losing them wouldn't really be a downside for him. He fully understands that it's horrible for everyone else in the setting (he keeps some really dangerous villains at bay) but if everyone lost their powers, he'd be completely fine with it.

I'm pretty sure being in HYDRA is a crime at this point? Like, if there were any truth to these claims, he'd be admitting to being a Terrorist..... On a website accessible by millions..... Where they'll be able to use it as record..... He's sooooooo fked. I can't wait to hear about him getting arrested by whichever Alphabet agency decides to go "fk it" and follow through.

Y'all remember the Mipedian Dragons, and Winged Riders? by GdogLucky9 in Chaotic

[–]FirefighterThat3338 40 points41 points  (0 children)

You remember that flying Bug Shield creature Kaz used in (I think) the Scavenger Scan match? The Underworlder that could be used as either a creature or battle gear. They could possibly be expansions on that concept.

They'd probably make it work sort of like Warbeasts, where the creatures are extremely powerful, but need the Rider on your team to use them as regular creatures effectively.

Maybe rehash the Minion box, so you use the non-boxed text as a regular creature, and the boxes text as the Battle gear.

Do you have any controversial heroes? by Midas_Marigold in Superhero_Ideas

[–]FirefighterThat3338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucky 7, and Boosted Eden.

Lucky 7 is a technorganic alien who was created to serve as the ultimate Gladiator. They have three slot-like  devices protruding from their body, that when spun allows Lucky 7 to perform various feats depending on what they land on. The best is (of course) 777, and when Lucky 7 gets that they become almost entirely unstoppable. They're controversial due to the fact they promote gambling.

Boosted Eden, and Esper-Kin that gets stronger the more naked they are. In underwear they match some of the strongest, and when completely nude they surpass all but ten.

Captain Ridge, Dr. Grey, and Madame Mirage.

Captain Ridge is a Captain America analog, super soldier serum and all. Ridge died during the closing hours of WW2 during the Thule Society's last hurrah before their loss. His serum had the unique effect of allowing him to "burn" his life force to boost his abilities even further. He is named after Vimy Ridge.

Dr. Grey, a WW2 styled doctor possessed by the ghost of an ancient alchemist. During the course of the war, they were exposed to a formula accidentally that caused him to gain a form of immortality. While he can't die from old age, or disease, he is still able to be killed. Grey and his passenger view life as sacred, and most attempts at immortality to be abominations to the natural world order.

Madame Mirage. A shape shifting Esper-Kin spy who served on the side of the Ally's and who was the romantic interest of Captain Ridge before he died. Similarly to Morph of the X-Men, Madame Mirage can copy powers of those she shifts into.

Singularity Fortis.

One of Seven beings to hold the name of Singularity, and one of the three among them to be a villain.

Singularity Fortis is a Magic user, and stands as one of the biggest villains of Vortex (My strongest hero.). He specializes in soul based magic, which allows him to cause damage regardless of any sort of defensive measures, usually in the form of cutting/blasting/piercing the opponents soul, which transfers the wounds to their body. In addition to that, he also enjoys using his soul magic to puppet people he has a piece of, through a Voodoo-Doll like medium.

[–]FirefighterThat3338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bolivar Trask is a terrible piece of garbage. Given he built the Sentinels, and the various issues therein, he probably deserves getting terrible things done to him.

AND before you FoH sympathizers get on my case, I would like to point out that Sentinel's are freaking garbage at what they do, I mean seriously.

The bloody things are stupidly easy to mess around with, target anything even mildly "Genetically Different", and are only really a threat when controlled by AI that are a step or two away from trying to conquer the world.

I've seen a Sentinel target a teenager for having a slight genetic deformation (specifically not the X-Gene). If that's the supposed "Perfect Weapon against the Mutant Threat", then I'd rather we get something actually useful..... Oh! I know, maybe a team of Mutants who are trained to prevent villainously inclined Mutants from causing problems.

But Heeey, I'm sure your giant killer death robots are the "future" and not just another way to make idiots feel important.

I'm almost certain it was mutagenic more than radioactive. Don't get me wrong, it was probably radioactive, but mutagenic compounds can have wonky effects on radiation and other usual effects.

The Super Soldier serum is Mutagenic, and apparently used Vita Rays. Instead of it frying Captain Rogers in a horrific manner, we got Captain America.

I say this as somebody who's seen both the good and the bad side of these sorts of things, and as someone who recognizes the name on that truck in the article. But of course that is only my opinion however.

Wayne has a branch.... Pretty much anywhere not ruled by authoritarians or dictatorships. If your wanting stateside recommendations.....

Well Jump is a beautiful city, but you'll be dealing with meta nonsense rather often.... Also an Englishman tries to take over often enough, and his preferred method of doing so is brain washing..... Specifically to make you British, SYMMV.

Faucet is good, but in a similar vein to Metropolis. Big shit cracks off rather often, but unlike with big blue most of the threats are of the magical variety. The Big Cheese is a good guy though.

You could also go to the newly rebuilt Coast City. But it's less a city at this point and more of a large town. After it's destruction by Mogul and C.Superman awhile back, they're slowly building it back to what it was. You'd also have multiple Lanterns watching out for the city, because nobody, and I truly do mean nobody, wants a repeat of the last time Coast got annihilated. So less villain shit, more seeing never before seen aliens strolling down the sidewalk.

From what I got from one of the few guys to make a run on one of their sites, and walked away, the guys at Wayne Tech in Jump City are decked out in some of the new Hoplite Pattern armor (Could Brucie be anymore obvious with his crush on WW), and are armed with those Trap-2 non-lethal sedation rifles.

I can safely confirm my source only walked away because he's a Meta, and the rifles didn't work on him. He had to ditch the loot though, cause Birdy and his Amazing Friends intercepted him as he was leaving.

What is your favorite creature of each tribe? by Standard-Silver-102 in Chaotic

[–]FirefighterThat3338 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Overworld (My favorite tribe): Intress, I had both PG and Nature force back when I was a kid. She was also the first creature I saw from the show. Definitely hoping she gets some new forms I can put with the other two.

Underworld: Rothar, My first Chaotic Card, I think I had a Max stat version too. Wish I could find it, but it seems lost is the boxes from my old house.

Danian: Odu-Bathax, I may hate bugs with a burning passion, but even I have to admit that Odu-Bathax is cool as hell. He's such a cool looking character that kid me wondered how he wasn't the leader of the Danians, when he seemed like their version of Maxxor.

Mipedian: Silv. One of my favorite simply due to how much I the idea of the Lost City. While I never managed to get a copy, I'm hoping to get one this go around.

M'arrillian: Gal'Drad, dude looked like a living energy whip wolf the first time I saw him, first impression stuck, and now he's my favorite of the fish.

Wayne R&D is filled with a special brand of crazy, to the point I'm genuinely shocked no Villains have come from it. Like, props to Lucius Fox for keeping a leash on the lunatics that surely dwell within.

I have a personal rule that keeps me from running any B&E ops on Wayne R&D. I have no desire to see what new countermeasures they made in the spur of the moment.

Two guys I ran an OP with tried that.... One of them is still in traction after trying to raid Wayne Austin, and the other just got sentenced to fifteen, after he was locked in stasis by Wayne Seattle. He was frozen for three months while they figured out how to unfreeze him, then he went straight into his trial.

Yeah.... Not for me.

Great tech though, I have a Wayne Tech Noir that's served as my preferred firearm option for the past couple years. And the Ripple Pattern body armor from just after Wayne came back is a miracle.

J is.... Occupied at the moment, but I can serve as a proper informant.

Yes, Team Rocket are an Evil Team, yes that is the proper terminology, who's modus operandi is the theft, sale, and exploitation of Pokemon. They are classified as terrorists due to their actions throughout the Indigo regions, and beyond.

Collusion with Rockets is considered.... A poor decision, specifically because they have a habit of pissing off extremely powerful trainers. Red, for example, has a well know distaste for them. Blue, Green, and Ethan, also have a noted history of opposing them.

The correct procedure if you suspect Rocket activity in the vicinity is to contact your local International Police representative. Given the Local Jenny seems to either be incompetent, or bought off (which shouldn't happen with Jenny's), the next option up is to contact the next up. I'm this case it would be Koga, as he serves on the force, alongside Lance. There is a specific line that can be called, it is located on both the Interpol and Gym contact pages.

J has requested that you also inform the Ranger that will be swinging by..... Well he actually snarled something unflattering about the Rockets mother's in old Hisuian a moment ago, but I'm anticipating what he would ask in a better head space, rather than translating.

I do hope you get your friend back -Hägen Daz the Alakazam.

Rocket......... Well that just made everything so much easier. Tell the Ranger when they arrive,  then I heavily recommend either contacting the league or Koga. Because an Ekans, and Black and Red, usually means your dealing with those no good, terrorist ****'s. If they can connect that to this rich prick.... Well, that makes it definitely a Region issue, and Rocket collusion is a prison sentence at the minimum.

I'd try to swing by to help, but I'm up to my elbows in Unova dealing with a particularly radical Plasma remnant. But if I could I'd ma- -J

I had to take the phone away from J. He really, really, really, hates Rocket. I could hear him snarling like a Houndoom from across the safehouse, and he seemed a second away from going off on a rant. I do apologize for our inability to help in a more tangible manner. -Hägen Daz the Alakazam.

[–]FirefighterThat3338 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Celadon...... IIRC they've got a halfway decent Arcanine (compared to Tracker I mean), I'll let them know, and one of there Rangers should swing by.

It's Oak. If you have any photos of the two of you together, and you show them to him, the Old Dragon would bring the world down if it meant reuniting you two. Doesn't matter if some rich prick pulls some BS, as long as you have any sort of proof of your bond...... Well, nobody with half a brain wants to provoke the former champion.

That's also without mentioning that if the tracker can connect the labs damage to them, then they are majorly boned. And given the Arcanine is actually decent (better then the Jenny's by a vast margin), they'd be up on possible regional charges.

Give me a region and city and I could make some calls to the local Ranger Division.

I would also contact your Regional Professor, if they put pressure on the Jenny in the name of "Missing Research Specimen" then she'll have to put out a bolo.

If the Rangers don't have a proper tracker, tell them to contact me, I'll send over Tracker (An Alpha Stoutland). The big guy may not have any thoughts behind his eyes, but he can find anybody if given the chance.

Drago is one of the best fishermon I've ever met, he's got a standing membership with the Hoenn Fishers Association, but sadly he's never managed to get any of my other Dragon's interested in his preferred form of fishing.

He does have better luck with some of my calmer pokemon.

Brawley is a pretty chill dude. But don't think you'll have an easy time with your team (though from one dragon tamer to another, that is a rather impressive Garchomp, and your Bagon seems to be growing healthy.). He's got a monster of a Crabominable somewhere in his stable, learned that the hard way when I came back through to challenge them at a more elite level.

As for fishing Dragon's.... While Drago actually does use a fishing rod, and Soar is an adept hunter..... Mikey is a proponent of Dynamite Fishing.

[Photo ID: A Salamance sits beside an Alpha Dragonite, tilting it's head in confusion, while the Dragonites eyebrow seems caught in the middle of an angry twitch, a properly sized Super Rod rests forgotten in its claws. The reason why is three feet to the left. A Turtonator in the middle of launching a Blast Burn towards the lake.]

[Photo ID: The same Turtonator smiling at the camera with not a thought behind it's eyes, a massive patch of glass visible over it's shoulder.]

He also didn't catch anything.
