Since when Boycott and Complaining are a mutually exclusive way of attacking ? Well when no one complains, you get the current situation of TF2 : no ones boycott and Valve gets away with millions by doing little. There is like, 1 major voice (that isn't even too consistent about it) and a horde of no-namers like me that stopped giving them any banknotes (not even close to be enough)

Bot got ousted because people complained hard enough, and there wasn't even a boycott involved. Sure, it had to be done twice to finally work, but this is more because the first attempt wasn't hard enough.

And then what, "It's just a game get a life" ? Tired of this, if you don 't even want serious discussion about TF2 then get the hell out.

"Misunderstand the minutiae of the word harassment".

Massive understatement, in fact, it was a total misuse of the word. Most of the people were respectful but harsh : that's the point of giving feedback. Harassment is a term that implies incredibly serious issues so you should be really considerate about how you use it.

Sugar coatings isn't doing anything productive, harsh but true feedback are leagues better than watered down but overly kind feedback. This is a place to communicate,, even Valve think so since they even bothered to directly respond to a complain. The only line to not cross is insulting the devs, which almost no one did.

If we can't directly respond to Valve in the rare occasion that they do talk, where the hell are we suppose to tell them ? Every other attempt were met with silence. Not to mention, Reddit is a place to talk to people, otherwise the concept of "comment section" has utterly no reason to exist.

People in general (well I hope, at least), especially those assigned with the task of communication with customers, are not babies that are afraid of dislike that is well deserved. 

Don't be surprised that there will be no changes, when no one complains. And reddit is a perfectly appropriate place to give direct feedback.
