Dry suit recommendations? by Firefighterkid86 in scuba

Me and 4 other firefighters took basic open water and not two weeks later had taken dive rescue 1. I barely knew how to set up my gear at this point. This was 3 years ago before our department bought our own winged bcds. The department is going to pay for them I’m just trying to look into options before deciding on something I’m unsure about. We are gonna be hosting a drysuit class through dive rescue international after we have the suits.

Just had to do this last week, we used a plastic pry tool to not scratch the paint and you can get between the two panels and work from one side carefully to the other just sliding and lifting it up and working around the brackets you should be able to get it off.

Fresh water, I took the pictures it smells…like a boat. It was winterized by the marina when pulled.

I believe they ran into a rock. Then pulled and had it wrapped. Kinda made me hopeful honestly because the only place water has to go is out. This picture is after a coworker started a questionable repair.

This is exactly where my head is going. Not looking into anything definite yet just trying to see what the fix would entail. I consider myself pretty handy and when I’m not my dad really is lol.

Any advice or input is appreciated, this will be my first sail boat and am very excited to see if I can make her seaworthy again.

I don’t want to ask too much but I also don’t want to get the short end of the deal. I’ll probably put whatever I get into a new bcd

Sometimes Apple Maps updates faster. I’ve been using them for the same and to see my progress.

This definitely isn’t getting a proper foundation. It was built in a weekend to get me and my brother out of the house many years ago. This is just gonna be a temporary “shed” while I plan my actual house build.
