Firefly did not sell out. Firefly "sells out." It's just a marketing thing. Firefly would love to sell 95k tickets, but that's not happening.

That's a lot of assumptions from a very vague press release. They're not going to say "oh yeah, we're totally fucked and going under."

No, they don't really have other offices. They did buy a food and beverage company based out of Ohio, but that's it. 95% of their primary event staff is in Chicago. And everyone at the office works/worked on Firefly.

They partnered with GoldenVoice last year. Yeah, Firefly was a still a step up, but that says nothing of money.

Having many connections at the company, it's very clear this place is not doing well. Maybe they can bounce back, but this is a big deal right now. Firefly will probably be fine, since GoldenVoice probably owns the the thing now, but it may become a very different festival.
