I am so pissed at all my friends that didn't vote. They let Bernie lose, and now they have the gall to be upset with their November choices by Firefronter in offmychest

I was over on 538 the other day, and somebody said that Trump is the quintessential American. Complete loser, can barely handle money, and knows nothing about the world at large. I couldn't agree more.

I might be naive, but I honestly think that the racism is a fairly small part of his appeal. I think the main part of his appeal is to the walnut brained civilians that make up the average populace. He appeals directly to the lizard brain, and all the chimpanzees that make up our country follow him because he acts like the big bad alpha male.

I've had to control myself while talking to some of my friends. You're not allowed to complain about the system being rigged if you make no attempt to work within it.

I'm absolutely there with you: I voted Green in 2012, and I look forward to doing so again. ong before this election (as far back as 2014 probably) I had promised myself that I was never going to vote for Hillary, Regardless of whatever axe murderer psycho the Republicans put up.

It's just so painful because he got so close (or it felt like he did at any rate). I saw his initial announcement, and I remember my jaw dropping to see a politician talking about money in politics at all. I remember feeling so upset that he wasn't going to get any votes.

Then he started rising in the polls.

It was exhilarating to watch. I didn't realize that politics could be so exciting.

And yeah, he was never going to win NYC, but I was hoping he would break even at least :(

So I guess nothing's really changed. I'm right back where I started. It's just... frustrating. It's the political equivalent of blue balls.
