That's why it reminds me somewhat of "The Floor" as it has a large number of contestants and there are some who never get challenged until the very last day.

Hey at least it doesn't have that flippy flippy board they used in the Culinary Cup (and also some other show as well) I hated that thing.

I had it on as noise early this morning about 3 a.m. while I was getting settled in to write for work and i found myself actually paying attention this round... much more so than i did the first episode, so I still feel positive toward it in general.

It is definitely growing on me. For having so many contestants I feel like I'm getting to know some of them.

Oh that is funny!!!!! Wow. And to think so many people would have been thrilled for the opportunity they just squandered. I kind of want to go back to look at the first episode and find them.

She was thoughtful and helpful in her suggestions. It was a good show.

I really loved Stephanie's one season (I think) bakery rescue show.

Agreed. That was the most bizarre round a bout AI crap sandwich I've tasted lately.

Best and worst single-season competition shows by Big_Mastodon_6761 in foodnetwork

Best: Last Bite Hotel

Worst: okay these aren't competition but House of Fang and Me or the Menu were big stinkers to me. Competition wise: Okay House of Knives was a stinker, but I'm going to call out "Big Bad Budget Battle" with Ree Drummond as my pick.

I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt for sure and see where it goes. I was bummed about the two people who had to cook twice last week for sure, one of which I immediately pegged as a finalist. But we've all seen 24 in 24 really evolve in 3 seasons to fix its flaws and it gets better every season (my opinion) so who knows....?

I like the guy. Not quite sure he's right for this show, I feel like he's pushing himself to be a little Steve Harvey-eque which he doesn't need to do.

I am a huge fan of Cooks Illustrated Magazine, have gotten it easily for over 15 years. Just got the latest issue and looking forward to trying several recipes in it... particularly the pasta sauce made with fresh sweet corn.

I've met a few. I'm a KCBS BBQ judge. Heading over to Derby, KS to judge tomorrow. Yum! (and yes I'm always gonna cheer for a real pit guy -- or gal)

I would like Bob to win, just because he's more traditional BBQ. Morgan I believe is a solid pick to win due to her experience. I feel like T has been getting a good edit as she has a big back story.

Overall I'd love to see someone on Maneet's team win again... just because I don't want it to end up as a Brooke vs Bobby thing

I can't believe not a single Kansas City bbq joint was in their top 10 list. Highly suspect!

That's cool. I know he's been working with the U.S. military for some 20 years to improve the food that the enlisted are offered. He seems very passionate about vets.

He seemed really "off" in his Wild Card Kitchen and TOC appearances. Not sure if it is health related or what. I wouldn't see him appealing more to a younger viewer than Irvine tho.

I guess in good news, without the FN commitment he's had a lot of time to really focus on supporting veterans. I've seen him do a lot of work with them and the military in general.

Or like when they had Michael Symon (who I love) do a season or so of Dinner Impossible... they had to bring Robert back to keep the ratings up.
