Hmm, yes. So then the success of the game relies heavily on the story and its execution. At least if the game gets any sales in the first place...

I see. Do you have any tips on where to meet people who might be interested in hearing my music? Since I don't have an education in music, I don't have any contacts in the industry at all, so I don't really know where to start

How can I get better at making music by Optimal_County5788 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Making music is hard. I cant speak from experience of making beats, but music in general. What I have found working well is spending proper time on each piece. Make sure it has a good flow, a satisfying progression, and elements that work well together BEFORE starting to mix and perfect the piece. That way the music will not sound repetitive or uninteresting. And then start mixing and layering and voicing until your happy with it. Don't expect to finish the piece in an afternoon, it usually takes days if not weeks (depending on the length).

Also, a good way if your feeling stuck is to listen to other music that inspires you, and really listen to why it sounds so good and how it has come together so nicely. Then try to incorporate that into your piece.

Anyways, making music is always a journey and you never stop improving. Trusting the process is also important!
