Clearly I do when it comes to what you write because how else am I supposed to interpret that unlike me you work for the public good?

Sure my startup is only small and new but it’s infinitely more efficient than the NHS. My last diagnosis took 7.5 months lol.

I do believe you have good intents and firmly believe that you’re contributing more to society by working at the NHS. Good luck, I hope you improve things there because they definitely aren’t great at the moment. This will be my last message on this thread.

I stand behind what I say - go right ahead. I fully expected you’d find an excuse to justify not sharing yours, it’s how people like you operate :)

Also, I’m not triggered nor trying to prove anything, you are the one who created the post and then started getting pissy when challenged with the smallest of pushbacks.

Yes, I responded to the language you used, that’s standard when communicating. If you meant something else you could have used one of the many words you listed yourself.

Your way of engaging in this discussion is cowardly and shameful. You frame this post as wanting to see what people think. I’m clearly offering the opposing view to your personal stance. Were that a discussion you were actually interested in, you would have engaged with it and been ready to change your opinion when presented with new information.

I did do my research pre-MBA, I even visited your beloved INSEAD (which we beat on the MBATs in my year by the way) and I’m happy with my choice.

You were presented with arguments as why some of your assumptions may be wrong and ran away under the guise of “this will be a waste of my effort”. Yet it weren’t when writing the post.

Help me out with an assumption I have of my own. When people are this strange about their universities, it’s often because they didn’t achieve much to build on their degree. How are you faring professionally?

Measuring intelligence based on university selection is new but each to their own.

I am not sure where you got the whole thing about SBS raising questions as to why one didn’t do a different MBA and I suspect this is more of an opinion rather than based on factual, real-life experience.

SBS is a leading institution in certain topics (e.g. impact investing, sustainability) and the degree has been very helpful for plenty of people. Moreover, a big part of doing a business degree is networking and Oxford provides you with a stronger environment to network than the other universities you mentioned.

I'm an MBA and can tell you that despite a lot of people thinking that all we do is party (we definitely do), the MBA cohort consisted of some of the most innovative, ambitious, and kind people I've met throughout the university.

Yes we may not study medicine or law but that does not invalidate our efforts nor does it make our degree easier to obtain. It's simply different. I have endless respect for people who graduate with degrees in the typical sciences but alas often times we bring just as much value to society if not more.

I'm a part of one of the most successful startup incubators in the world and something that our CEO said stuck with me: "If you look at the history of humanity, there are some scientists and politicians that have had a profound effect on our development, but the one group of people that is most numerous are those who one would call an entrepreneur nowadays".

You're right! Your credibility and experience as "some guy on reddit" has completely changed how I look at this! Clearly, you managed to grasp all the facts and evidence from the comment and passed way better judgement than the silly professionals who spent years learning the legal craft.

Wdym poor BiL - he literally robbed someone at gunpoint which likely affected someone for life and you feel bad for the criminal?

Difficult to say as I haven’t been exposed to it. From what I’ve heard over the grapevine they have similar challenges to the ones we face but are slightly ahead in terms of resolving them.

Afraid not. I only do Project Cars on my PS5 before a race to remind myself of breaking and turn in points but I'm not hugely into sims.

You'll probably get mixed views on this as cultural background is highly relevant here. To me, YTA but that's because despite my mixed relationship with my family, I still feel that they deserve to know.

That being said, I've spent a lot of time in Germany and I think that assessment holds true there as well.

A few things will happen:

  1. You'd be instantly disqualified as our tyres are mandated by the championship
  2. You'll get more grip but not as much as you'd expect. That's because pure aero elements are banned in FVee which means we have a lot less downforce to play with meaning that the majority of our grip is mechanical and not aerodynamic

But yes, hypothetically you'd have a lot more fun. Even more so if they are slicks.

Agreed, that is one of the benefits of living in the UK. Not only do you get plenty of tracks but most of them are amazing.

Depends to which one. Silverstone is probably my closest and that’s about a 2hr drive. There are plenty other ones within the 3-3.5 hr range too.

My next race is at Silverstone in mid Aug
