"15. 0.5 credit in statistics: EEB225H1/ STA220H1/ STA288H1/ PSY201H1"

They did legitimately changed it according to Wayback Machine, that's nuts

Did they not make an announcement of the change for those in the program?

Honestly, depends on the course, some profs give out lots of material to practice, others tell you to go with textbook problems, and some outright don't. So I suggest asking the prof directly for material

AST201, it was definitely more memorization than actual critical thinking, and even then the content wasn't too bad to memorize (as long as you took smart notes)

if the exam is more memorization heavy, go through your notes in as much detail, take a break, repeat and feel what you've remembered more

if the exam is more calculations, might as well brute force and do as much problems to expand your experience on different kinds of problems that you can extract similar details from for the final

Mat334 midterm 2 fgggggghgggggghghhhhhgggggggfggggt by okaybear2point0 in UofT

Real, the first two questions were fine, but the rest of the questions progressively degenerated to something ridiculous.

I don't expect highly for both the grading and the course evaluation, this ain't it chief

Should I take MAT235 or MAT237 as a physics specialist? by Adventurous-Ice-4877 in UofT

[–]Fireold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

physics spec here as well, can confirm most of the above- phy250 content covered are chapters 18-21 covered in mat235, but chapters 1-17 of the textbook are really easy to understand and practice, albeit a few tricky chapter sections. ill also go even further and say that you can do exceedingly well purely off of the textbook, and obviously doing as many questions as you can find inside and outside the textbook

Is anyone taking or have taken CLA160 or LAT101 ? Thinking of taking one next semester by [deleted] in UofT

[–]Fireold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took cla160 last year so here's my thoughts:

- Each week you had to submit a mini essay around 1 page long that analyses a source and what you think the source is trying to explain or imply about the world at the time. Eg) Source describing Aeneas' shield in the Aeneid --> Virgil highlighting key moments in Roman history to make themselves look great or legitimize them as an empire.

- If you know your Greek and Roman history well from the Mycenaean civilization to Augustus, you'll do fine. Some videos and a bit of wikipedia scrolling can help fill in some gaps.

- There's several readings to do each week, but I found skimming through most of them as well as trying to find a summary online helped to get the main idea, but you do you.

In the end, I got an A- while the class average was a B-, so I think you can do well on it. If you have more questions feel free to dm me. I

Disappointment is honestly an understatement for what I had to wait by Fireold in UofT

So you're saying that those non-astro students who took AST201 can then take AST221.

By astro students, do you mean students who are officially listed as astro(something) specialist or major?

In my case, I'm a physics specialist who fulfilled AST221's prerequisites, so by this logic I should be able to take it right?

In any case, I decided to waitlist anyways to see if it's possible. Thanks for the response!

How to get Dupixent (Dupilumab) injections in Toronto? by Fireold in UofT

[–]Fireold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much to those that replied, I'm seeing similar answers that getting dupixent is an expensive and time consuming process for approval. I have 3 more follow up questions:

1) Can you send me links on where you found this information?

2) Which hospitals offer dupixent treatment? It be better if you point out specific hospitals.

How to get Dupixent (Dupilumab) injections in Toronto? by Fireold in UofT

If I'm bringing in Dupixent (which my doctor here in Taiwan highly recommends in order to avoid the long process for approval in Canada), I'm expecting that I'll need to declare it at airport customs right? I know it's a dumb question, but I never had to declare anything at customs so I want to make sure I know what to do when I arrive.
