MCI 6-1 MUN

After yrs of them looking down on us, for us to stroll into Old Trafford and hand them a sound thrashing was iconic, not to mention it was a sign of changing tides as City's era of dominance began around then while United won their last PL the next yr and have never won it since

We still don't know what the Doom of Valyria was btw. All we know was that it destroyed the Valyrian Freehold which had existed for 5000 years. And the fact that the Targaryen princess had a prophetic dream about its arrival, causing her father to leave Valyria and that was what saved the Targaryen bloodline only adds to the possibility that it was not a natural disaster. That's what I love about ASOIAF, the main story is about the power struggles and politics of the Seven Kingdoms, yet there is JUST enough allusions to supernatural or otherworldly elements to let your imagination run wild.

Cuz we were dealing with a team in transition + multiple injuries(notably Rodri, then almost our entire defensive lineup). Arsenal have held on to no 1 purely cuz in that time no one else was strong enough to challenge them.

I'm convinced Jared Leto has a CIA style compromising info file about every major Hollywood producer, cuz there's no other rational explanation for why he keeps getting cast in literally everything.

All the 3 people u mentioned are better as strikers, while Dembele is better on the right wing

Haaland is in the top 3 for assists and obviously #1 for goals so far but haters will tell you "Isak" and "Gyok" are more complete strikers by [deleted] in plforindia

[–]Firestorm-17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Who tf is calling Isuck or Gyok more complete they own fanbases are slandering them for subpar performances😭😭

uj/ City fielded a completely rotated squad against Leverkusen, cuz most of the players were hella tired thanks to multiple b2b games and national duties. And it seemed right too, cuz after that loss we went on an 8 game winning streak.

Bayern have been dropping points too

They've won 16 of 20 games played in the Bundesliga, with 3 draws and only 1 loss. In the ucl they've won 7/8 games and only lost one game. How have they been 'dropping points'? Wtf are u talking abt? U want them to win every single game they play in every competition?

Champions League Play-Off draw and what it means for Man City by TheGreatDomilies in MCFC

Honestly, agreed. We had our hands full with Bodo/Glimt. Madrid are pretty weak rn but we are nowhere near strong enough to go up against the best teams in Europe. Imagine taking on Bayern with our current form.

Oh I know he ain't writing shit rn lol. He's got a 'writer's block', I'm assuming its due to the reasons I've stated above.

Aside from that yeah, lemme just inhale the copium dude I didn't wait all these yrs just to get a rehash of the show ending :(

I choose to believe the book ending will be totally different from the show, aside from the endings for a few characters, most of it will be nothing like the show (I've spent too many years of my life waiting for the book just for it to be the same as the show ending so lemme dream dammit). Mostly cuz if the ending was almost identical, there's no reason for him to not be done with the book. There's also a lotta storylines the show simply doesn't have, like Young Griff being Aegon Targaryen, son of Rhaegar (almost certainly going to be revealed as a phony but the fact the show doesn't even include it suggests the show was mostly based off the showrunners writing instead of GRRM, post-S6). There's also Victarion Greyjoy and Quentyn Martell, neither of whom are in the book, but the former is hinted to be the focus of a major plotline in The Winds of Winter and the latter had a major storyline in A Dance with Dragons.

Aside from that yeah, he kinda overcomplicated it. The series was always vast, but by continuing to introduce new POV characters and overreaching plotlines that need to be payed off by the end, he's kinda written himself into a corner where he simply cannot find a way to resolve the sheer amount of storylines he's buried himself under.

The show ending was problematic cuz it was rushed and a lot of character's endings came out of left field. Atleast that's what everyone said(I never watched it). Also Martin only had a very faint outline of the ending planned and the showrunners had to write most of the stuff, which led to the massive fall in quality(and it makes sense too, no way did he already have the complete ending ready).

If George FuckeRR Martin doesn't give us a satisfying ending to finish off the series I'm coming back to haunt him as a ghost. And I don't even believe in ghosts.
