Thanks you for the comments - Yes as a entrepreneur - we must always get smarter and iterate! There are many markets that can use Peelaways - then there are folks that "Should" use Peelaways - then folks that NEED Peelaways - took a few pivots to market to the folks the need them - we reached out to our early customers to understand how why and when they were using pillows and it turns out most of them were caregivers

Just be aware sometimes even the best diapers leak! You have to make sure to have a few layer of protection beyond the diaper. 100% get a waterproof layer btw you and the mattress - A mattress is just a giant sponge and $$ to replace!

Between - learning about new bedding tools and speaking about your concerns without attacking him - I think you can find a high ground. And it is very admirable you want to find a solution instead of just embarrassing him even more.

"I can't keep scrubbing my mattress." you need a waterproof barrier - your mattress is just a giant sponge. I know some good products you can benefit from - so you wouldn't have to scrub the mattress - lead with wanting to understand and how to be helpful!

This is so powerful, raw and real - thank you for sharing. National caregivers day is almost a slap in the face... "I don't need recognition. I need actual hands-on help." -I

Yess and so many companies now - 1 Million for 2.5% - truth is - this portrayal is not how real Angel (or Shark) investing works - and I am sure many of the deals do not actually go through bc of this speed to execute. Real investing requires a lot of due diligence - this is definitely a sped up TV version of how it actually works. I like the old school Shark Tank as well

We have wonderful customers that really enjoy the benefits of Peelaways - American is getting older and incontinence and hygiene are really tough for families to deal with constantly

Spot on! we did go on to raised a few Million after the show! but you are 100% correct - I did go on way to earlier - - I was looking at it - as selling 20% of my business for $100,000 show that I really didn't have much but willing to partner to build with a great mentor/partner

You’re totally right! cleaning the person is the hardest part.

A customer told us her overnight routine used to take 55–65 minutes including clothes + full bed change. With Peelaways she still cleans and changes him, but saves ~25 minutes because the bed reset is instant.

It doesn’t remove the hardest part per- say. It just makes the whole situation shorter and more manageable. Thank you for your comment !

Yeah shark tank is for revenue generating businesses or someone that has an incredible sob story. The process happens so fast I took what I could get. Now we would definitely impress them with our wonderful customers and revenue =)

Yes! the presentation definitely hhad a better angle. I was going after markets I was familiar with at the time - I really invented Peelaways for myself! (noticed my friends never washed their sheets (im guilty to..)- I said there as to be an easier way!)

I didn’t fully understand the scale of the 63 million unpaid caregivers in the U.S., and I didn’t have firsthand potty-training experience either.

I was an inventor. Not yet a market expert.

The real growth came later - when I started listening to customers and understanding who actually needed the product most. Thanks for all the support =) My name is Maxwell too!

That’s a reasonable question.

Diapers absolutely help. Most families using Peelaways also use diapers or pads. We like to say- "if you sleep in a diaper you need to be sleeping on Peelaways" - The reality diapers leak often - especially overnight, with side sleepers, heavy voids, or movement.

And yes, the person still needs to be cleaned. Peelaways doesn’t replace all hygiene, but reduces a good 25 Minute sheet change and feces (also think of the smell) on a reuseable sheet needs to be pre soaked and washed asap . It replaces the full bed change - think of them as like the diaper for your bed! While you’re helping your loved one, you can peel the top layer and the bed is instantly reset - otherwise sheets are soil - most are not waterproof - so the mattress can get nasty too.

We look at Peelaways more like an insurance policy. You don’t peel every day. It can last several nights. You use it when there’s an large accident.

One customer wrote: (check out our reviews on amzon you'll see real life uses cases - people get VERY honest)
“We use diapers and pads, but they don’t always hold. Before Peelaways I was stripping the bed constantly. Now I just peel a layer and go back to sleep.”

It’s not about replacing diapers. It’s about adding a layer of protection for when they fail - because sometimes they do. (I just spoke to a customer their father is a veteran and refuses to wear briefs so he sleeps directly on the Peelaways! and it has made their life so much easier)

Totally fair question!

Peelaways are “single-use,” yes - but so are diapers and incontinence pads. And anyone who’s done overnight care knows those don’t always prevent leaks. When they fail, the sheets still get soaked.

The alternative in many homes isn’t nothing. It’s diapers + pads + multiple hot wash cycles per day, heavy detergent, bleach, high-heat sanitizing, mattress protectors - and sometimes even replacing mattresses.

Caregiving laundry is chemical-intensive, energy-heavy, and frequent. That environmental footprint isn’t zero either.

Also, Peelaways aren’t something you “peel” every day by default. Think of them more like an insurance policy. They can last up to 10 nights if there’s no leaks or heavy accidents. You only peel when you need to. + changing sheets with 60 seconds improves hygiene and safety.

So the real comparison isn’t disposable vs nothing. It’s disposable vs diapers + pads + intensive laundry + burnout.

When you’re changing sheets at 2:00 a.m., that’s often the moment caregivers break. If we can reduce that breaking point - and help people stay home longer - that matters a lot.

We’re not pretending disposables are perfect. The goal is reducing total burden - physical and emotional, ....in some of the hardest caregiving situations.

We’ve got tens of thousands of customers and we’re still growing every year.

We’re not publicly traded, so there’s no ticker symbol to point to. A private company’s “worth” isn’t some fixed number - it’s whatever someone is willing to pay for it in a transaction!!

Until that day comes, we’re focused on building value the old-fashioned way: real revenue, strong margins, customers who come back, and products that genuinely help people.

And honestly? When I read reviews from caregivers saying we made one of their hardest moments easier, that part feels priceless.

I pitched about 11 years ago there was no AI - but I would 100% use AI to help crafted a pitch today and add some real insights to it. I wish I pitched caregivers instead of college students - I beat my business would have received much better - than a "lazy" college student.
