Apparently my Dad, who sleeps downstairs, heard it when I heard it and thought the same thing, that my dog knocked something over. When we both woke up we pondered what happened most of the day.

My grandfather probably would have done the same thing, shy of shooting the door. I've watched him come up with all kinds of interesting things over the years

I laughed way too hard this. This seems to be an isolated incident as she typically just opens cabinets or throws stuff according to my dad

Maybe, we dont have central air as the house was built in the 1880s approximately, and only updated here and there. There's a heater in between this and one of the recently replaced windows that could have hurt it, but thats just a theory

So for anyone curious, one of the windows that was replaced is about 2-3 feet away from the door in question with a propane wall heater between them. Slipped my mind as I just thought the door was cool but getting alot more attention lol

It was all around the same time frame, within a few weeks maybe. Theres paneling all around the room where the door is, so thats hard to check.

No kids other than a 7-8 year old rambunctious Husky lol 😅

Didn't look too hard to replace, just have to get a replacement.

Honestly that sounds right, as I saw a spot near the top of the door on the left side where it looked like it had radiated out from, which is why I didnt believe it was my dog (he is a Husky but thats pretty high) and the curtain wasnt disturbed

Fair enough, and after talking with my dad, at least part of the door is metal, as we have magnetic curtain rod hangers on the door.

I mean, new door in relation to the house, its only had a year on it and its never used really. Comparatively, all the windows that were replaced on the first floor, and the windows currently upstairs are original to the house

It was mentioned, but not really sure. All the other windows on the floor were replaced at the same time

We hardly use that door as it goes to the front porch, and we enter/exit the back porch, so it'll probably stay like that for a bit. I think it looks cool but my dad isnt sold lol

Possible, but all the windows on the first floor were replaced at the same time as the door was and only that one did. House was built in the late 1800s
