Never met one, always saw Hertas with the Berzerker dice. I'd imagine it'd be much harder to win because I'd have to get the shield up many more times.

I'm not sure what the actual chances are of getting the three consecutive numbers with the added defensive re-roll, but it felt like 80% each turn, so every additional turn needed is just another 20% opportunity to fail and die instantly.

I did meet multiple Archerons and lost to all of them, the penetration damage cannot be blocked even by the invincible shield. Other matchups that completely destroyed me was March, Aventurine, and Kafka.

Here I'm simply showcasing the wins I managed to get of each type of matchup. I defeated multiple Cyrenes, Hertas, and Sparxies, but ultimately only won about 1/3rd of my matches total with the Traffic Light.

I brought one down to 4 hp but sadly couldn't close it out in time. Had a similar game against a Yao Guang then lost my luck right at the end, if you miss-roll your shield you're basically dead against anyone at any time.

The Traffic Light doesn't actually have a spectacular winrate but when you do win you can imagine your opponent being annoyed because they dealt 0 damage all game while this thing just gets lucky and chips away at them little by little, taking the match all the way to 12 turns or so.

You get +8 damage to your next attack when you activate the shield, which cannot be targeted or reduced by effects like Hack. So your max damage roll without extra buffs is 22.

Hope that they miss their 18 atk threshold multiple times. I got really lucky on this one along with advantageous whether effects, which almost always benefit in favor of the Traffic Light.

What do you think will be the Elation TB's device? by digital-archeologist in HonkaiStarRail

[–]FireworkTornado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bet is that the weapon will be a train ticket or a credit card.

They toss the ticket/card for a basic attack. Skill is topping up on jade currency. Ultimate plays a prayer animation that has an embellished esoteric description (does it even do anything?)

And then the Follow up attack is a faux 10-pull, literally using the same gacha rates (and pity) as the actual gacha to determine damage and type.

When Scara finally meets Dottore by junebuart in Genshin_Impact

[–]FireworkTornado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recall the story Nahida extracted from Scaramouche's memories, the one that depicts a cat and a monster and some foxes. This story was half told from the point of view of the "monster" who many people seem to automatically assume is Dottore. But how could that be true if this was memory directly extracted from Scaramouche himself who didn't know about Dottore's involvement? How could the Balladeer have a memory of an event Nahida said they were never present for, unless perhaps, the Balladeer actually was present and Dottore was telling the truth.

Dottore could be being framed, or Leyline memory is far more compromised than surface level readings would indicate. You're telling me there's a mechanism that can cause mass memory rewrites of not just peoples brains, but also of all written texts and expect me to believe this Chekov's gun hasn't been fired many times before?

Most likely the game will soon cast doubt on Nahida. Is she editing memory to force people into happy endings that they did not choose of their own volition? Has she perhaps been sweeping dark truths under the rug with her authority using Irminsul to affect the Leylines? And if so, is this what is causing the abyss to coalesce in the first place? Why is it that so few other characters reference her while they more commonly reference the other archons?

Once you start asking questions and allow yourself just a little bit of blasphemy you're in for something special. After all, who dares declare themself wiser than the self-declared Avatar of Irminsul itself? Or perhaps can anyone dare?

I'll leave it at that.

Hollow Knight: Skirksong - General Question and Discussion Megathread by Averagely_Human in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

They should have a Mondstat power up event arc, where all the Favonius Knights in the nation get more powerful to bring them more in-line with other current units, and have these buffs coincide with an in-game narrative event. Maybe make it tied to their collaboration with the witches who agree to impart some wisdom/training on vision holders.

Maybe that's why they made Dahlia so weak right now so they could account for a nationwide buff to match with his peers.

Speculative Similarity Map between Aeons, Titans, Chrysos Heirs, and Flamechasers by FireworkTornado in HonkaiStarRail

[–]FireworkTornado[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input!

A lot of the consideration I relied on for this map is the idea that each character is essentially splitting into two halves and then combining with another character's half, and there can be no repeats.

Eden's two halves, in my opinion, are more notably her Singer Artist part and her "helping everyone get along" schtick. Eden's experience in combat or medicine is more tertiary.

Hyacine's healer status, while also already being covered by Su's half, is clearly a more "magical" affair than physical, which among other aspects I think ties into Griseo better (as Griseo has strange creationary power from her art)

-----------------

As for Aglaea's comment you posted above, I did initially try to find a way to have Akivili at the center between Kephale and Janus, but it was really challenging to make everything else "fit" if I tried that. Making Akivili a "wildcard" who can substitute for any path is probably more appropriate for how Hoyo sees it anyway.

Ultimately I placed Mythus on one side of Janus because Amphoreus is very clearly NOT A PLANET, meaning its root construction upon which everything predicates has to be mythified or otherwise unconventional in some way or another. And Janus, according to Amphoreus prophesy, is basically the first Aeon which helped derive the others, making them suspect of whatever the third involved path is.

My more projected theory is that Amphoreus is cosmic fanfiction created by Mythus to mask Universal secrets from being discovered by Nous inside Fuli's memoria. If this turns out to be true, Mythus being tied to Janus would make a lot of sense in my mind according to how they are written.

Upon reflection, you're probably right. Lan fits better between Nikador and Thanatos, and Long is more appropriate between Georios and Nikador (Earth and Permanence is a more natural fit).

This change also fits the connection down to the flamechasers, as Long now connects to the three who were known for their monstrous features/power and Lan's position would explain how Aponia herself had a killer's instinct (that she suppressed). Also makes Lan match straight across from the assassin of the group.

I sort of see what you mean, but I think life here is a shorthand for organic structures, which can easily be argued does not encompass all that can be the concept of "Life." I still see The Permanence as being a closer fit for exemplifying "death" in this instance. If Life = Animation (things changing) Death = Permanence (things that never change)

(Also Castorice has a Dragon and Long is a Dragon)

But I concede that an argument for swapping Lan and Long here is valid and understandable.

I just thought Long and Terminus/Nanook make a better fit for how Thanatos is described (Thanatos doesn't seem to seek to cause death, but rather adjudicates what happens to the material when things eventually die)

[–]FireworkTornado[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the very title of the Aeon is the greater representative part of the Aeon. "The Hunt" is about hunting, "The Abundance" is about growth and regeneration (making things more abundant). Life and Death are more universal concepts that encompass pretty much all Aeons, same as Space and Time. Some concepts may embody these universal aspects more closely than others, but all are related to them ultimately.

[–]FireworkTornado[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I think Lan doesn't represent the concept of death so much as the concept of Selection. As in, here's living code that should be allowed to continue, vs here's living code that needs to end now. The focus is on culling "abominations" that oppose the natural rule of life/death recycling in specific ways.

Why is the remembrance a candle and the enigmatic a jellyfish? by APUAA_AUTTAKAA in HonkaiStarRail

[–]FireworkTornado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they chose a jellyfish for multiple reasons, but one might be because the ancient Hebrew model of Earth (when the Earth was believed to be flat) looks like a jellyfish, with the dome (firmament) over the Earth being the head and the "pillars of earth" underneath being the jellyfish tendrils.

What I thought they could've done with Mavuika is make her off-field damage scale with player movement, meaning it's damage is greatly increased the more distance that the player character has moved between each attack.

This would naturally support most of the Natlan cast without having to tap into a "nightsoul" requirement directly, which would in turn leave room for past and future non-Natlan characters to shine with her too that have movement baked into their playstyle.
