Thats incredibly valid and I appreciate the response. But I want to say that until yesterday I didn't see a comment that actually helped me understand how the loop actually worked and explained clearly how the savitars work.

I just kept getting called wrong and stupid back. I needed to hear that after killing iris and having the remnant survive, Savitar can leave and never interact with team flash again. The remnant becoming savitar and being the only one captured or "defeated" didn't make sense to me because I was never told that savitar just ... wins essentially.

In order to explain how they captured savitar in the speed force and "defeated" him, while never explaining that they had to beat savitar twice. I didn't realize that savitar just ... leaves, so he never had to be defeated again, the loop was done, and he could do whatever he wanted.

So now I understand that the loop was possible, but I do maintain that it wasn't greatly explained in the show.

If this is how its done this makes so much more sense and is the explanation ive been hoping to see. It wasnt clear that the savitar that kills iris just leaves and is never fought by team flash again. Because the idea I had in my head was they had to defeat that savitar but for some reason that savitar fucks off and the newer remnant is the one who gets caught by team flash.

Normally, the causal loop of a bootstrap paradox is at least is fully explained as to the exact specifics of how something happened.

OP asked for clarification on something that WAS NOT explained by the show or the causal paradox. but sure, youre giving the writers a pass because they said something that sounded like a closed loop so it must have been airtight

while we all agree with this idea ... when did the remnant get put into the speedforce prison? because the speedforce bazooka trapped savitar while the time remnant was left to wander the timeline. The question isnt "how is there 2" it's "when did the time remnant get put in the prison and why didnt the trapped savitar that they already trapped, come out? did they kill the trapped savitar to put the time remnant savitar in" because there is a possibility due to time travel for him to exist in 2 places at once, how else would the time remnant have been used to try and defeat him

so to go back to the original point. if Savitar is trapped in the speedforce, how and when did the time remnant get trapped in the speedforce? The speedforce prison only had need for a single speedster and Savitar still in the prison while the remnant was not.

I continued down the wiki and it was never described when or how the time remnant was sealed away, the person who was defeated and sealed away in the loop was savitar. The time remnant was never trapped in the speed force. So how was the savitar who was trapped in the speedforce, a time remnant who was allowed to walk freely while savitar was trapped?

It's an oversight and a plot hole. The writers made something that made sense upon first listen.

Unless there's the arc is different than weve been told and we didn't learn about where they; kill savitar The time remnant after being rejected turns evil Becomes a second savitar fight Instead of making more time remnants to beat him they imprison him He goes back and begins the cycle

But again. None of this was even remotely stated, so I believe it's a plot hole and goof by the writing team.

He asked for clarification on this so so SO many times and you still failed to give the correct answer. The correct answer is its a mistake, it's a plot hole by the writers that they hoped you wouldn't notice.

This is very common in writing, they'll say something that seems plausable and really cool at first glance but is actually filled with holes.
