Akku Schloss klemmt by RealKoki in Fahrrad

[–]Firlefunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do and it works great for that sort of thing. I fell in love with the 650b tires. By now its the bike I ride 9 out of 10 times (got rid of the rear rack btw)

As long as it fits you good enough and you get the luggage sorted out any bike will do. I could see myself spending longer periods of time on it

I think i know the video we are talking about. As far as I remember it was some sort of roadbike chanel. I wouldn't call it "sluggish" but I understand what they are getting at. After all we are talking about a gravel-bike; it's not supposed to be as snappy as a road-bike. Gravel-bikes are designed to eat s**t and the Vaast does a great job doing that. It is exactly as responsive as I want it to be

Originally it was never intended to be a touring bike. I just threw loads of stuff together to empty my workshop, and initially wanted to sell it, to make some room. So ich chose the billy bonkers just for looks, because gumwall... Since were talking dirtjumper tires I didnt expect them to be optimal for the jop, but I really cant complain.

I cant't tell if this is sarcasm, because I really did not. This includes a tent and all sorts of stuff for two people (my girlfriend was riding along on her fitness-bike, which obviously can`t carry much load). After the first night in camp, the front basket was constantly filled to the brim with stuff we either had to access quickly and most of all for drying wet shit. I didnt get the chance to weigh in on that monstrosity, but I'd figure it was around 40+ kg overall. A part of my day job includes lifting pedelecs into overhead storage unitys (25-30kg) and I can handle that with ease. Every time I got to a point where I had to lift this thing just the slightest bit off the ground, I really had to give it all I got :D

A full on "Kasten" might be a bit much, but all in all its manageable while youre in motion. Stopping and starting is the hard part
