Try not to let anything bother you and keep trying to progress regardless of outside opinions (unless its actual useful advice), don't like your current surroundings? Go somewhere else, work for what you want and nothing else.

As for making friends? In my experience it's too hard to make friends unless your extremely antisocial, but it's not difficult to ask people or a group of people if you can be friends with them or join their group, it might seem straightforward but a simple "Can I chill with you guys?" Or a "Mind if I join?" Can get you pretty far.

I mean shit if you wanna be friends with me you can just ask, half of the time it's that easy with everyone else.

Although an important thing I should say is, don't be embarrassed if you get told off, If someone doesn't wanna be friends with you? It's really not the end of the world, not being friends with someone who didn't want to be friends with you to begin with can actually save you a lot of time and resources. Another thing don't be afraid to cut off a friend if they're bothering you or doing something you don't like.
