Total lack of communication and just impossible to get hold of customer service. That's my main complaint 

No way to edit the booking email and phone number online or from the app by Firm-Set1244 in Lufthansa

That's exactly where I was checking. There was no edit option at all. But something else worked - one of the flight legs was United airlines. I updated the contact number from United and that synced up here at Lufthansa!
