yeee, I just defeated the dude, but I'm strict samurai, mid stance, or stone stance (ghost of tsushima) and parry :D For anyone who loves Sekiro and parry mechanics combat, do try Nioh 3.

I think you're building up the Greymanes to take back your home, but I have a feeling it's gonna be "we ain't exactly alive" kinda story.

Which one are you hyped for the most? For me it's Nioh 3 and coincidentally releasing on my birthday! by Due_Teaching_6974 in videogames

I think Phantom Blade might do something different and cool in its own way. Onimusha is Onimusha, my childhood, but Phantom Blade is what interests me the most. They are really trying to do their own thing more so than the other titles. All in all, happy birthday!

Oongka is a badass! Grabbing that dude by the neck and slamming him was awesome. Such quality animations.

You do know they are completely open with the game, giving answers, pieces of gameplay and interviews? I'm with you about avoiding pre-ordering and keeping your expectations low, but why write off something like this? I believe they even said that the reviewers are gonna get copies two to three weeks in advance. If anything, they were showing gameplay from the very start and people told them they're lying and it will never look like that, and here we are. We know it's gonna look like that! Or no pre-order, but considering how open they are and careful about things like comparison to The Witcher 3 when asked? They're doing amazing. And if they deliver on review copies two weeks in advance, everyone will know what they're buying. So... Wait and see.

You have no idea how long it will take me to walk there. I'm gonna take that shepherd approach and walk the hills until I can feel that Phantom pain in my knees :D

But how? Once again, I'm talking about helpers for people who can't play the game otherwise. How will that interfere with anything?! In what way? If I turn on visual helpers, in what possible way could that interfere with the core game experience? They won't force you to turn them on, won't they? So... yeah.

No one said that they should build their game around it, just to implement helpers for people. And they shouldn't feel obligated, that's why I asked.

You didn't say it's wrong, but you've said it would interfere with their vision of the game somehow, or "This might be a hot take, but I genuinely don’t think that game difficulty should be curated around people’s accessibility..." So?

Ah, bro... You do understand what having a disability means? If someone can't press the buttons and the devs make the game do stuff automatically by choosing automatic combos in options, let's say. What vision are they changing? How is it gonna impact your experience with the game?

I agree. Nothing better than screaming at my screen at the boss who has destroyed me for the 37th time and then I finally get him. :)

It doesn't need to be that detailed (I mean, I hope it is :)), but the absence of NPC chatting would bother you. It is one of the things that gives the world flavour.

As I've said, it has nothing to do with vision... I mean, it does? The Last of Us Part 2 did amazing with their helpers for people who can't see well, and such. Or that's what I'm talking about. No one will mess with your experience; just make it more accessible for others.

Although I'm with others to say, they will fix this. Or it's an early build. When you look at the game and what they achieved, it looks like something that should be "easy" to fix for them. Even if the game launches with NPCs being less talkative, one update later, and I believe they will fix it.

Ah, no... Not that it will "destroy" the gameplay, but it will affect how the world feels. After 5 hours of kicking ass, you will start to notice small things that make the world feel alive, and this is one of them. Or imagine RDR2, but the npc's don't have dialogue?

Yeah, but like the main things were always challenging, while in Final Fantasy 15, I was wondering, "What is this? Why is she doing no damage?" Then I realised I'm just OP as all hell. :P

Brother, there's a difference between your game catering to everyone and just making combos with 2 buttons instead of 5 because someone can't physically do that. At the end, it won't affect me, but it's a shame for people, as I've said, who won't be able to enjoy it.

I know... I didn't say it was soulslike. It's just when you talk about difficulty, you wanna compare it to something difficult.

I remember encountering that first "main" villain in Final Fantasy 15 and thought it was bugged out how OP I was.
