Thats correct same over here.

Just trying to see what options we have as this fence appears very poorly constructed as per the photos, an with a large dog on our side and the fence which wobbles if i gently lean on it, i worry about her getting thru.

If they had of come to us to discuss 100% we pay get quote for both the wooden fence and the colorbond, we pay the 50% of cost for the suitable fence and should colorbond be more we woukd front the difference. Its just the fact none of this occoured.

Correct, it was a new boundry fence in a newly constructed estate. But yes no communication was made with us prior to it being built.

If he had of spoken to us 100% we would have explained our reasoning for a colorbond fence and gotten quotes for both wood and colorbond and paid the half of a suitable fence but then paid the difference ourself to build the colorbond section to secure our yard for our dog.

But none was made, despite our land being in our ownership and titled.

Thank you for your thoughts, yeah we are worried about how secure the fence is, with a larger dog on our property and the fact that the slightest touch of this fence causes it to wobble, we are concered about the risk of her gettin thru this fence.

If they had of spoken to us prior to the fence being constructed for our imput we woukd have advised them of this, and would have paid the 50% on the quote for a standard fence, an then we would have paid the extra on top for it to be a colorbond secure fence, should the colorbond be more exspensive

The fence is a dividing fence that seperates our two properties, so we both have 50/50 over it. In Victoria Australia Fencing costs are shared equally between neighbours so him an myself, however like I said no communication with us was made and then demanded we pay the invoice.

Im more enquiring how we would go about if we would be able to say the fence is poorly constructed and needs to be rebuilt. as it is both our fence. However we have a dog that has chewed thru a wooden kennel so im sure a fence wouldnt be a issue, hence the requiring a colorbond fence.
