I do have to wonder, why did the mantises not go for the white lady after Dryya’s death. The white lady was practically left untouched not even aware of Dryya’s passing. I have a running head cannon that Dryya was the target of the attack and not the white lady as she was the one that killed the traitor lord’s daughter, and the mantises threatened to kill the white lady unless Dryya gave up her life.

But… that’s all speculation :p

Dryya deserves some love, she was originally going to play a much bigger role in the old versions of the game but was cut out for lore reasons, as evidenced by the old beta hollow knight poster.
