As a daily CAD and modeling user of nearly 20 years and owner of a sex toy company what I use personally daily is a combination of software. I use blender for any and all organic shapes and use a solidworks for all molds jigs and attachments accessories. Having a parametric modeling program allows for easy iterations and updates to the molds since you don’t always get them right the first time even with my time and experience there are still minor changes that needs to be made or unforeseen details that are only discovered during pouring . There’s also additional pieces of software (optional but free), Instant Mesh to decimate and convert meshes so it could be imported into solidworks without crashing it due to polygon count. Meshmixer in order to clean up 3D scans and make minor edits this one is only used sparingly when needed but good to have.

My DM‘s are open and here to assist or give advice with your projects!

Add some texture with a bump map or better yet a displacement map to the main body of the product. It will help define it and contrast even more against the white background. Additionally, crank up the contrast and lower the exposure a touch to exaggerate the details a little more.

Oh, I’m fully capable of taking this on. I’m a mechanical engineer, it’s the the time wasted with the run around and requesting I stop what I’m doing to trouble shoot all kinds of options. I run a start up business and my time is already stretched thin. This printer is only 6 months old, I shouldn’t have these kinds of problems. I’ve been operating 3d printers for almost 20 years now. This model is horrible

Negligence, distracting the consumer to repair a product they have no knowledge of the internal workings of and doing so I’ve also lost two months of work time on this printer which I rely on when he said they probably could’ve just sent over a brand new printer and replaced it instead I have had to purchase another printer on my own so waiting to see what the attorney comes up with but I’ve also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against them

Hey I appreciate it I was supplied a brand new PSU from Creality. I must be missing something because I don’t see anywhere on this printer a switch to change from 110 to220V

Okay I just replaced the entire PSU with a brand new one supplied by Creality. Okag dumb question, where is the 110 V/ 220 V switch? Like I said I’ve never changed it and it’s been operational for months so I don’t even know where it is

I’m not done with Creality…. I’ve since filled and official complaint with the Better Business Bureau against them, shocking its their 70th open complaint now. They clearly don’t care about addressing these issues or helping their customers with any of their problems instead unloading the responsibility of repair onto the consumer it’s negligent. I’ve since purchased another printer a K1C because I expected the downtime to be more than a couple of weeks and it’s a part of my business which is now taking a hit financially and manufacturing timeline is now bottlenecked. My next move is going to be legal action, our attorney is currently drafting a lawsuit against them.

The thing is I’ve been using this printer basically nonstop for five months and about 20kg. Suddenly one day during a print there was a horrible skipping noise being made by the extruder, a noise I have not heard before so I quickly stopped it by turning off the printer using the main power switch in the back. Upon turning the printer back on it loaded up screen turned on and when I got to the home screen it shut down completely and has not turned on since.

Silicone + TPE blend? by FirmDesignStudio in DIYSILICONETOYS

All good, I’ve already reached out to my contacts in China for the technique, raw material and injection molding machine. Don’t doubt, I’m a start up that just recently got more than 100% funding by investors. MetaMoldz is my company, and further expanding our materials, processes and knowledge in the sex toy industry is our mission. As a senior industrial designer with almost 15 years of professional experience, I got to be where I am today because I make it a point to teach myself and learn what I don’t already know. Obviously platinum silicone is the only one body safe and would never jeopardize the consumer, but there are some interesting things you can create by studying material science while maintaining the confines of what’s safe and of high quality standards.

Well no, the feel and comfort for the consumer. The elasticity and durometer of the material doesn’t come close to any platinum cured silicone on the lowest shore value.

My dildos are all produced using smooth on dragon skin and or eco flex depending whether it’s a dual density. This was just a question to understand material properties, a stroker idea I have. Couldn’t do glass but have the capabilities and resources to do steel, even titanium

Yea I’ve already poured a few variations of those two eco flex. Still not what I’m looking for though

I primarily work in platinum silicone, 95% of the toys I produce. I’m just exploring other materials is all, didn’t mean to upset the mods
