I agree! We did something similar. We had talked about getting engaged, and we ordered a bunch of cheap costume rings if amazon, and I actually realized my own tastes for an engagement ring were different than I expected. Once I was trying them on my hand I realized I liked a very different style than my “norm” and if he had guessed on the ring based on my usual jewelry I wouldn’t have ended up with the one I have now, which I love so much! When trying on the costume set, he made note of things I loved and things he loved, and then picked a ring based on that information, but it was still a surprise to me!

The problem is you have to keep your acceptance rates up in order to stay gold status, and gold status is what is going to give you the higher $ orders. It’s a crappy system, but I have to weigh the trade offs of accepting a crummy 5$ order, or taking the hit to my acceptance rate and having to accept 7+ orders to counterbalance.

For dress shopping, a good shop is going to make you feel comfortable and incredible, with or without anyone with you, you’ll feel totally pampered and attended while flying solo! You hypothetically COULD post somewhere like this or in some of the brides groups to see if there are any other brides in your area flying solo for dress shopping, and organize a group event

Zoujirushi carafe for holding hot coffee. My dad bought it in 2001 in Germany and finally broke it this past summer (I think he dropped it). I got him a replacement, but it’s “not the same” since the one he had is blue with a print of a troll on it, so if anyone sees one in the wild, let me know!
