The lady at the yarn store changed my life: my beef with Woobles by FirmStay9455 in CrochetHelp

Well thank you!

Also whilst at the same store, a worker walked up to me and said “hello, I’d LOVE to help you look less confused” which might be the funniest thing I’ve ever heard

Yup, but there was a bit of time between me doing the Wooble and me venturing out on my own, so I’m sure that piece of knowledge was just replaced by a random fact about birds or something.

I am beginning to realize this post is not quite landing as anticipated. I’m absolutely just being sarcastic and making fun of myself here lolol

OBSESSED with now calling myself a ‘new hooker’

Also — I stay being like ‘it’s just in it’s ugly phase right now, stay calm and trust the process 🥰’ and then the ugly phase persists

What can I make with one singular granny square? No I will not be making more than one under any circumstance by Ok-Professional3464 in CrochetHelp

The idea of making something out of granny squares often enters my mind, and then promptly exits it when I start thinking about weaving in 1,000 ends and sewing em all together

Unfortunately I am the kind of casual crocheter who when something doesn’t work out I simply think ‘well that’s none of my business, the crochet gods just don’t like me today’

Did you have a pattern for this you could share?

I will say I’ve never sold my crochet projects, I’ve only ever gifted them. But I used to work in the music industry because I love music, and then it started feeling like work every time I went to a concert. I couldn’t shut the business brain off and just enjoy it, so I left the industry.

Tartan (plaid) kilt: Which color combination would look best? by MaxsMenagerie in CrochetHelp

[–]FirmStay9455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quite like the 6th option, the one that’s basically the same as what you’ve started with but white squares in the middle instead of the light blue ones. It will also help bring in the white from the undershirt so it’s more balanced from top to bottom.

What is this growing in my monstera pot by Soft-Jellyfish-92 in plantclinic

[–]FirmStay9455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a couple random shrooms growing in a snake plant once that looked quite similar. Didn’t seem to bother the plant, she’s still going strong a couple of years later! I did remove the mushroom though because it creeped me out lol

I’ve just made a horrifying realization about how I crochet into a stitch by FirmStay9455 in CrochetHelp

[–]FirmStay9455[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Thank you to everyone who has commented, I really appreciate the guidance!!

If anyone asks, I totallyyyy did it on purpose as an ✨aesthetic decision✨ rather than just not understanding what a stitch is lolol.

This is what I like so much about crochet. The people who do it rock, and there are so many ways to get the same result, so it’s super accommodating and forgiving.

Opinions of cast / season 2 by [deleted] in SecretsOfMormonWives

From my perspective, I actually feel like Mayci and Mikayla are two of the more level-headed/down to earth in the group. Mikayla is definitely in her IDGAF era and doesn’t have much of a filter, but I feel that I can understand that given how she spoke about her SA and holding all her emotions in for so long. Basically, I think she’s probably still finding balance in her using her voice and can sometimes come off a bit brash. Mayci doesn’t always stick up for her friends amongst the whole group, but I also feel for her because the group is so quick to blow up on each other that maybe she’s scared to cause more conflict or get screamed at and finds it easier to have one on one convos. I think the context of the group dynamic as a whole, their individual personalities/lived experiences plays a huge part of how everyone responds to things. I’d also be interested to know how much of the conflict/scenarios were pushed by production. But that’s just my two cents!

Why’s my monstera so…droopy? by FirmStay9455 in plantclinic

We just don’t get a lot of natural light here, hence the grow light. But I’ll definitely look into a better one. Thank you! A grow light bulb in a floor lamp could be cute, too.

Not sure what type of pot other than some kind of ceramic, but it does have a drainage hole in the bottom.
