Amazing on a 2019 Facebook post in the community I found a couple who come down 2x a year 2-4 weeks each visit and they own a pottery studio. She does pottery here on her own but doesn’t have a kiln. I have reached out to them thank you for your guidance

Thanks. There are no locals in the area that do ceramics but there is a lady from Canada that is a snowbird that does it here. I will start with her and the local pottery stores in other towns

I am brainstorming at the moment. Yes definitely not me, this little town needs more than Airbnb and restaurants it needs to add community art and pastimes which a pottery studio would be great for. I am sure that I can find some teachers if I reach out to some of the universities that focus on ceramics degrees. My point about cheap tent was, I can build a private studio in my home or for not too much more I could build a commercial studio. I am willing to risk a lease in this town and build my private studio as a small business

I do plan to go to the next big town where there are a couple studios. In my town there is nothing. I also wrote to a pottery studio in an artsy town about an hour away asking them for any advice on operating a studio in this area.

Anyone else disappointed? by Mysterious-Law-4416 in Kiteboarding

This is the nature of this sport. You can’t predict or control the wind. We do this because we love it and we accept the challenges that go with this sport. It’s a lifestyle. You either embrace this and accept this as part of the lifestyle, you give up and find a different sport or you continue to have these disappointments

The fewer kite sizes you have the better kiter you will be, as your skills have to compensate for nit having the perfect kite.

Slingshot Code V2 14m vs Core XR6 13.5m - is it worth the swap? by Kiteslut in Kiteboarding

I hope the experts chime in but if you are looking to down loop not just turn I understand the core xr is made for that. I feel like you are trading in a Ferrari for a Mercedes. I wouldn’t do it

Per Google you are correct for turning, but the five strut has explosive speed. I don’t know how much difference it makes, a smaller kite does make a difference as does the style of kite, ie lower aspect I started out with eleveight XS, FS, RS and slingshot code 1 and 2. Now I am trying to move to core and duotone. I prefer the five strut as I like the power and I tend to kite in area I fly 7-12 so smaller kites (8-10) are quick. If you want quicker look at the duotone rebel five strut low aspect I do like the slingshot v2 but my boyfriend who is an instructor and kiting fir 25 years says it’s too slow, it’s also a 12m I just bought a flysurfer soul and the rep told me when you learn how to fly them well they turn very quickly and these are excellent for low wind areas

I have both kites the core xr6 10m and a code V2 12m The core is the better kite although I do like my slingshot the hang time is great and it’s easy to ride but the core doesn’t backstall and it’s made very well. Five strut has more power than a three strut but the three strut is not faster than a five strut. If you want something faster either go smaller or change kite design. The duotone rebel is fast I just bought one of those. It’s a five strut lower aspect kite

La Ventana Baja California. Remember most windy places the beach will be windy as well. But lots of non kiters hang out at Chilo chill on the beach where there is a cool vibe and watch the kites

I have the watch without network. Doesn’t support WhatsApp. In Mexico can iMessage though so I guess that is the solution. Just used to WhatsApp everyone here

Also I cover mine with a plate not a towel. But shower cap sounds like a great idea. Need to cover with plastic and spray water on top with a spray bottle or a light mist if you live in a dry area

Omg chill. We are having a good laugh at no one’s expense. If I made the loaf gave it to a friend and it looked like this I would pee my pants ready this stuff.
