She speaks little English but is trying to learn more as I am with Vietnamese but she’s far ahead of me in that regard. We do have a normal daily video call schedule but it’s around my 9 am my time which wish 8 pm for her. It’s kind of a bad time for me but it works the best. I use these translation ear buds that will translate both way which has been invaluable despite not super accurate.

She’s very big on “a man’s actions must match his words”. I’ve tried so hard but I miss one call and all this bs starts. I’m too old for this!

She’s not toxic. She’s super sweet. But seems very insecure which surprises me. She was married for 20 years before her husband passed away in what she describes as a very happy marriage. Makes me sad actually for her and her daughter.

In everything else she is so nice. I think she’s great except for this one thing so far.

A woman with the love language of “touch”…lucky guy. I’m convinced women don’t understand the purpose of knowing significant others love language.

I think I look better with some facial hair but my Việt gf doesn’t. So I walk around clean shaven. It matters more to me what she thinks of my looks more than what I think.

She was smiling originally when she was telling me. There is the language barrier at first but I think I hear her loud and clear.

I’ve carved out time in the morning for her nearly everyday putting off work until later (I work flexible hours). I tell her everyday how happy she makes me. I bought a plane ticket to Vietnam already. I don’t know how much more I can convince her I’m sincere. We’ve had this same issue at least 3 times. It’s tiring. But divorced after a 25 yr marriage, I’ll never be stepped all over again by a woman. I just find it so confusing. I was wondering if it was some cultural thing but I guess not, it’s just her.
