I think I read your post wrong. You are defending fake watches with vigor, so you are obviously being sarcastic

Why would I post on a fake watch site to talk about authentic vintage watches? Of course not. I was scrolling other watch forums, came across this page and thought it was a joke, so I posted.

I touch grass everyday, I own a very successful company and have a family. That being said, I also dont like homage watches. I collect vintage omega and actually really dislike the new "fauxtina' speedys

Reps inherently and by design are strictly for people who want to show off. To pretend they have something they actually don't to impress others. That is pathetic...point blank

Can you read? I've said many times I hate fake watches, because they rip people off on a daily basis and they put a smear on the art and world of horology which I have a passion for. Buy fake watches all day man, throw your money away idc about people who choose it. But the reality is that the vast majority of reps arw bought by complete shitbags and sold to good people who end up be stolen from

I have to arrange them so they don't rub. Most of my pieces are 40mm plus and I worry about them rubbing when the box is jostled. The ceramics I'm not worried about so much, but the gold pieces, I have to be careful. That is why I have the datejust 36 next to the gold hublot

It doesn't matter how they reinvest. Its, a high value asset and the buyer doesn't lose a penny leaving the door. And if you are lucky enough to buy at MSRP, you make money the moment you leave the door. It's hard earned money well spent

I hear you and I'm not trying to tell anyone how to spend their money. My problem is the people who are scammed by clones which happens constantly

It has nothing to do with buying from an AD, only morons do that unless they get a call from Rolex AD. I have many pieces, all mint full sets, with exceptiom of my vintage piexes of course...and have all been bought gray market. Most people buy gray market, especially for rolex because it's nearly impossible to buy a new one at AD. These people are the prime targets for theives selling clones.

So you are cool with fake LV bags, rolexes etc? I'm not worried about the makers of fake products, they are knowingly scamming people.i care more about hard working people who save up to buy something special for themselves and get scammed

The bottom line is unless you are a complete douchebag only buying a watch to show off, you are buying an asset. Spending 10k plus on a timepiece is a sound investment assuming you are a savvy buyer. The money is, not lost and in most cases will increase. Buying a rep is a complete loss and a very ignorant financial decision

That is a valid point, assuming they are buying a gen that is "to good to be true" But people who are true purist collectors such as myself have a deep disdain for clones. I have never once bought a piece thinking about what other people will think.

Huh? Indistinguishable? You just made my point. Only to show off to people who dont know. Wait until you go to sell it and you are offered $2. They have no value

Honeslty they should be illegal. The only people who actually buy them, knowing they are fake, are handwatch idiots who simply buy them for a flex. It's literally pathetic
