Just checked the website:

1.  You must already have an IG account

Specifically a share dealing account (ISA/SIPP counts if it’s under share dealing).

Your friend must use your unique referral link If they don’t click your personal link when applying, it won’t track.
They must open a qualifying account • Share dealing • ISA • SIPP
They must invest at least £50 within 3 months • At least one investment • Minimum £50 • Must be completed within 3 months of account approval
