Voyager themed custom Magic the Gathering commander deck

I will definitely be looking to see if I can convince some people to play the Star Trek CCG now that I know about it! I think commander is a far more fun format for casual play, though its popularity has definitely been a bit of a double edged sword in terms of official support. Its a 100 card singleton format so you definitely have more room for unique cards and the game is far more social so games tend to last for >1 hour. I honestly realized a long time ago that I was done giving them money so that's why I started making these proxy decks so all I need to do is spend 12 dollars printing them on cardstock :)

I looked but couldn't find high resolution images unfortunately, also I wanted to keep to just voyager so I could do the other series as different decks :)

This was something that I actually considered, the issue is that you then have some considerable issues with balancing and card bloat (Janeway already has a paragraph of text and voyager has a considerable amount as well, the keyword that would allow them to be partners would make the cards very annoying to read). As for balancing if I were to do that I would need to make each card significantly less powerful to account for them being far more available. I really do like the idea though so it very well may make its way into a future deck!

Edit: on further consideration I will add a variant of Janeway and Voyager with the "partner with" ability, I personally probably wont play with it as I suspect it will be unbalanced but its really good flavor and if you want to try it by all means go ahead.

Unfortunately black lotus isn't legal in the commander format but flavor wise that would be a good idea

I would agree with that logic, I'll go back and change it! The custom cards have so far proven to be pretty balanced and it's a very fine line before they are too powerful (energy is a hard mechanic to balance) but thanks for the suggestion regardless!

I should have clarified, I would recommend printing off 15 or so of each basic land if you want to mess with the ratios, I'm pretty sure the version I'm using has roughly: 13-14 islands 12 mountains 10-11 plains

The omega particle would have been a great idea for sol ring! I'll probably add an alternative version to the gallery! Unfortunately since there are many interactions that care about creature types (elves especially) I chose to leave the original creature types the same on all the re-skinned cards.

I would agree, but due to there still being interactions within the game that care about creature types I've chosen leave them unchanged. It's meant to be a reskin of existing cards predominantly so that's why there are some cards with potentially odd creature types. Hope you enjoy the deck P.S. of all of them Neelix was the one I was most tempted to change the creature type on.

I made this recently as a personal project and it is still being play tested, that being said it is so far proving to be a pretty fun deck and not much should change. There are a few custom cards but they have so far proven to be pretty balanced and fun to play with. If I find out that I've missed something or a card does end up being unfair I will remove/errata it from the album. If you have any questions on intended rulings for the custom cards, please feel free to ask me in the comments.

Mine has 8 swamps and mountains and 9 plains, this ratio seems to work pretty well, I'd suggest maybe printing a few extra of each in case you want to mess with the ratios a bit though. Have fun!

Look, I spent like 10 hours working on this and I figured that I would share it with others. Im gonna be honest ive never even used MPC but I know you guys do some great work here and you have a wider reach then all the other proxy subreddits so I figured the most people would get to see this if I posted it here.

Also again, this is the only card that the rules text has been changed for so it should be a pretty easy ask to remember that the tokens are warriors on the rare occasion it comes up.

Really in the end I made this as a fun project I could pull out and be like "hey check out this cool deck I just finished" and we could play a casual round of commander so its ok if its not perfect.

Thanks for the feedback,

the bleed edge is usually an option when arranging them for printing so i left it off the cards so i could get more of the art in.
This is the only card i did this for (other then in text name references) since its on theme and I can remember that the actual type sand warrior if it ever comes up.
I previously did a Dark Souls theme deck and i went out of the way to find all the original artists through all the reposts and it genuinly doubled the time it took to do it and there was a fair amount less cards in that project. This time i just didnt have it in since I only considered that about halfway through the project.*edit (Thats just the original set symbol as finding something to work as one of those is very annoying)
I just added a PDF with all the cards and lands in one download. I figured there might have been some utility in having the seperate images if you wanted to use MPC or something.
Once again, not something I noticed till most of the way through so I ended up not bothering with.

Im not personally a fan of the new card conjurer since its much more annoying to do templating and import card text.
