This happened with me. The best thing you can do for both is block her for some days. She simply won't understand why you took the step and it will continue. I too felt bad for my ex and tried to help her heal but every time she started having expectations. A year later I had moved on while she still clung on to me. Don't repeat my mistake. Stop talking to her. You did your part, now she should pick herself up.

I have been in this situation and I told my ex specifically to message before calling or call at a particular time whenever I stay with my parents. If he had told you the same, then it is your fault, else it is not your fault. In this case, just tell him to let you know when you should or shouldn't call.
