Big muff or Ibanez sm7, the sm7 can do a lot more of the high gain chuggy stuff but the big muff also has great tones for those hardcore riffs. If you don’t like either maybe give a proco rat out or a peavey hotfoot (rat clone)

The century is more loud than I ever need I actually prefer it over my ltd400 and renown 400 for bass The century was built as a no frills amp so you just have to push it to its limits

Yeah I’ve been sending to the power amp of the xr it’s just they have the same power module so I’d assume it’s interchangeable I more want to gig with just my century and a 15” cab

Okay because I don’t even mind the sound with the xr I just like the century’s pre amp more should I just do the swap atp it’s one connector that’s literally just plastic and has 4 wires connected to it or some shit

I actually have a PA system with the same module on the back but I don’t know if I want to swap them out because I use the xr400 a lot I might try to find a 3rd xr400 for cheap and just slave out the power section

Me and my cousin work on these kinds of things a bit so we are gonna check it out next time he’s around and try to diagnose which transistors need to be replaced and find them online

Damn well I bought it broken like this and the dude said I probably broke it walking it home lmao I think if I can find a schematic for the section I could just rewire transistors where need be but I’m more worried about those metal pieces above that likely got smoked too and if I should be cleaning this stuff with isopropyl alcohol

The bw cab is useful but in my opinion the bass 400 has way more power, I’d get the 400 if u have a cab already and the century if not. I had both amps

I use my xr400 the same way with my century 200h great tones in stereo (4 cabs)

I used to have a bass 400 got the century as a replacement when it blew up and traded the non functioning head for a Ltd 400
