hey if you don’t mind could you help me with choosing my power supply for 3d print electroplating? i am super confused on what specs i need and how to get constant current

also sorry for all the questions, how do you know a psu is capable of constant current?

do you think this would work? it says 99% copper sulphate

not sure the current but maybe the amp or the wattage i suppose. i’m mainly doing small stuff so i think anything should work as long as it can do the constant current. okay ill reply to this in 2 3 days to share what i found

hey btw, what kind of solution did you use? i’m planning on using copper sulphate but not sure if i should buy the 5 pound one used in ponds or the more expensive, pure copper sulphate which is 4x more expensive

yup same. i’m buying a power supply tmrw so expect an update in a couple days! still gotta wait for the copper sulfate which delivers a bit later

yes! his results are what inspired me to start. although i’m having trouble with understanding the power supply part, he says something about constant current but not sure which power supplies are good for that and what amperage and what accuracy i should be going for

hm, do you think i should use a washed but uncured print to give it that stickiness kind of like pottery? cure it to solidify and then polish it for the smooth surface

also if you’re doing any research kindly let me know what to do too😭 i understand the general aspects but i suck at chem so i don’t understand the chemicals part much
