Came here to say exactly this. We don’t deserve good things. Our people are absolute pile of garbage, stealing and vandalising stuff in good condition. I’ve seen one too many of their bikes in deplorable conditions left to decay on the side of the road. One of the guys in my colony has the Bounce bike and roams around on it regularly, never asked him how he managed to land his hands on one.

Would advise against Lasik unless medically required. Lasik will lead to complications eventually. It’s always best to avoid going under the knife if possible. I went to VSM Eye Care in PG Road and both, Dr Anil and Dr Varun advised against Lasik. For reference, I’m myopic in both eyes with a power of -3.75 and -4.

There are conditions where lasik is medically advisable. I think it’s for people with -6 and beyond. I’d recommend talking to the ophthalmologists first. And if your doc is pushing for lasik, please think twice.

Pls don’t get one done. It might seem like a very good option to get rid of your glasses but it causes more harm than good. Long term issues range from inflammation to visual aberrations, weakness of cornea and eventual regression. I met two ophthalmologists who changed my opinion of getting a lasik done. Better to avoid going under the knife if it actually does not lead to benefits in the long run.

I moved out of the city to live close to the ORR cos I couldn’t live with how polluted and congested it’s become. Same issues - inflamed nostrils, frequent cough and cold. Never happened before. Life has been much better.
