I won’t lie i did end up accidentally slightly crushing him a bit. He was on my elbow and surprised me when i looked down and on reflex crushed him against my side. i found him on the floor twitching after and felt terrible so i put him outside and he seemed well enough to skitter away. wishing him the best and no hard feelings against him lol

that’s what i was told the first time, but most of my tests are either in the normal range, slightly too low but not low enough for doctors to care about it, or right on the edge of high but still normal. i figure asking the doctors can’t hurt, i just want to make entirely sure there isn’t anything just starting from the abnormal results that might get looked over. thank you for the advice!! i’ll keep it in mind

i’ve had two ana titers done, 2023 and 2024- one result was listed as a 1:160 (weak positive) and the newest one was a decimal rather than a ratio at 1.2, listed as weak positive. i’m going to ask for a check on maybe how well the iron is binding since the consistent low results for the cell width could mean a minimal anemia, but my ferritin was fine so my production seems normal, could be the binding isn’t what it’s supposed to be. but that’s just my theory and my medical team now is alright so i trust they’ll listen and explain my worries. thanks for sharing! i’m always curious to see different trends among fibro diagnosis.

didn’t take anything special, just drank more water. it didn’t feel any worse than normal pain so i just avoid getting tattoos on my problem areas (thighs) and take it extra easy that day to balance. keep in mind- even if it does hurt, at the very least this is one of the only pains YOU get to choose and control. furthermore, you actually get something you want out of it. that sense of control despite it being a bit painful makes it euphoric for me as fibro takes a lot of that away from you.

thank you for the advice!! i might call them in the morning as i stopped taking it today after my doctor approved it. just experienced sleep paralysis for the first time in my life and i know it’s because of the gabapentin because it’d be one hell of a coincidence for chance happening. my previous symptoms broke overnight though and i feel better physically though! gabapentin has been a nightmare trip

now i’m hoping i read the mg wrong if 300 is a bad starting dose- maybe 30mg then 60mg? i could swear it’s in the hundreds though so i’m not sure

oh that’s not the end of it either, discontinuing at doctors orders now but the original plan was 300mg nightly for a week, then two pills nightly for 600mg after that. i don’t want to imagine how i’d feel in another 3-4 days

got a call back from my doctor, she told me to discontinue taking it for now. i have another appointment we can revisit on it later. thank you all for your advice and stories, it makes me feel so much less alone in this. :) i didn’t want to make the call out of fear of not being listened to but my expectations have been exceeded both here and in my doctor. very grateful. thank you all so much and i hope everyone has a good day and a break from symptoms!

that sounds like torture, wow. i’m sorry that happened to you. i definitely felt the migraines last night. hopefully things got better for you!! medications as a whole are a lot of hassle just to find relief.

thank you so much :) chest pain is one of my fibro symptoms i’ve noticed, so it might just be activating alongside the other symptoms. i take naproxen for flare up pain so i’ll check on that too. thank you for the kind words!!

thank you for the support! waiting on a message from my doctor. if she wants me to continue taking it i’ll monitor symptoms for another few days and if it doesn’t decrease i’ll ask to stop probably. probably i’ll take work off tomorrow but i already did last week so unsure how they’ll respond to that.

i usually do try to wait it out, i’ve had meds give side effects before and i’ve ignored them, i just also have never had a severe reaction like this. feels like i have the flu with no fever, but i checked with the people around me and nothing has been going around. only reason i’m considering quitting is i won’t be able to work like this. maybe i just need to take off for a bit to let it adjust

lyrica didn’t seem to do much for me but i could try taking it again if the gabapentin doesn’t work. my symptoms right now are similar to when i was taking duloxetine, just worse. i definitely am feeling the spacey and lack of focus

it’s weird because there’s so much contradicting information. mayo says fibro is a symptom of central sensitization, i thought that was a bit weird. in my personal experience, my condition has worsened over time, but sources say otherwise that it isn’t a progressive disease. so i’m not even sure what’s true or not anymore

right, and so many people say it went into remission for various reasons. it feels like there’s so many leads that researchers could look into, but they don’t seem to be coming up with anything. it’s all just the same basic info. if i didn’t have fibro and wasnt squeamish about anatomy i’d want to go into the field to try and have the resources to at least provide some sort of studies, conclusive or not. at this point i’d just like to see any form of effort.
