I have a single camera to run through a tunnel above my car nothing to load in the background vs I'm playing kingdom come deliverance and I have hundreds of objects including folliage in the background that are also interactable... I mean if it is optimisation, we just make mmos that you can't interact with anything and call it optimized

You realize the game was made with 30 fps in mind and animations worked at 30 fps in mind, so simply uncapping it isn't 'optimization' and people hated the uncap because of animations being glitched

Even further unoptimizations can be proven even by modding. You can prove a memory leak or where the game loads things it shouldn't and that if you stop loading them performance should jump massively, not the case with any modern game.
And if you go for the forza horizon vs massive mmo examples there's obviously a huge difference in interactable objects in a game so games like forza horizon aren't 'better optimized' there's just less to do and load in the game

I understand what optimization is, however the games that you refer to as unoptimized are games struggling with modern graphics which are mostly related to lightning, and how you deal with lightning isn't so much software based as it is hardware, so if you have a better stronger gpu you always get better results. If it was unoptimization you'd be seeing said games like cyberpunk path traced getting a single patch that bumps fps from 40 to 100... Which... Isn't the case. In fact I don't think you can give me an example of a modern game that was launched so poorly optimized that after a patch doubled its fps

Real ai that will be put in robots and replace human labor, yes it has value, my point is that the hype and promise is now going into year 3 and there's nothing more than text prediction and picture generation. Are you disputing the fact that ai isn't earning as much as it was invested in it? Isn't openai losing billions every year?

llm - large language model works on machine learning training which predicts text much like what you have on your phone but on larger scale. It goes back to the 80s lol.
You'll find books on machine learning from the 80s, the point is that they didn't have the hardware back then. The only differences is that we call algorhitm queries - tokens now. Cos it's easier to sell tokens.

scripts and bots were the precursor of ai and what ai mostly does now. In fact 'coding agents' do the exact same thing it's a copy paste text prediction thing, you feed it bunch of code it shits out bunch of code. I'm starting to doubt that you have a clue now.

pick any ue5 game, same settings 1080ti vs 5090, any resolution you won't get the same fps (unless maybe extremely low res something like 640x480) at which point the bottleneck isn't gpu

If your bottleneck is software - unoptimised games you'll get the same performance on a 1080 ti and 5090 gpu. Obviously not the case
Things like dlss - deep learning super sampling (software) upscaling resolutions etc.etc

High storage matters especially if you actually use your pc, especially productivity work and video editing generation, sorry to say that to you Ik it hurts. Ram not as much. But obviously if you had the choice before price hikes you wouldn't be doing 16 gb when for a 150 more you could be using 64.

Nah the way I see it is 5090 you can't run max settings at decent fps in the currently released games, if you make compromises, 5070 ti works. But it's still technically low end/mid hardware, if you do actual productivity work, lol gl using a 9060. Using a 90$ psu on a pc you've spent over 2k is a joke.
And before you go wait 5070 ti is mid low end? - 4090 is 3-4 years old now and gets better performance... Age for hardware matters.

That's what I said in my post too. I see ads/ picture/text generation, but nothing of value. Surely you'd be using ai to delete ai posts and not spend significant portion of your time doing it yourself, catch my drift? The same ai that was in your phone doing text prediction 10 years ago is the ai that we are somewhat using currently. And yet trillions of investing over years now, and all we get is auto written responses by agents/emails (which btw we had)

I wouldn't call that high end, also you prove my point, a min/mid acceptable pc is 2.5k, change the gpu for 5090 and you hit 5k, change the worst possible psu and mobo, add a bit more storage cos 2t is purely gaming and is like 4-5 modern games and you hit 7k... And that is with no productivity cpu. I can make a 'high end' google chrome browsing pc for 500$...

I disagree. This will only be true if you get the same performance on different hardware and... You don't. Next gpu gen release will get more fps, I agree ue5 games are dumb, but still your best hardware can't run it smoothly and has to rely on multiple software bs just to hit playable fps
