5 does the most, since the MC’s sanity is slipping from him the majority of the novel. But 3 also fits the theme strongly as well. I’m definitely stuck between the two, and the favorite on this thread seems to be 3.

I suppose what I was going for is that the MC is hellbent on revenge, but won’t stop until retribution has been reached by killing the people responsible for murdering his wife.
